A person could go to Douche University, work hard for years and earn a bachelors, masters and PhD in Doucheology, then become a professional Douche, become licensed at the state, federal and international levels as a Certified Douche, read every book on being a Douche, take every class, become an international expert, practice being a Douche for 12 hours a day. Then that person walks into a room with BB, the person would be out Douched in 5 seconds. He is that Douchey.

I was going to rep you, but then BB Douchness took over me and you can go screw yourself.

I fully support every athletic team that Ohio State puts out. I also realize that without the football team and the revenue generated by the football team, the other 35 sports would not be able to exist, even if the university wanted them to.

So what did the sports do before the mega huge TV deals for football? Did they hitch rides to the games in East Lansing and Iowa City?

Hell no, the University funded them and had they not wanted to fund them, they would have folded the team.

Makes you wonder then, doesn't it, how Stanford has been able to field such a vast athletics program for decades without significant money from the football team - it's all because the university wanted the sports to exist first and foremost. Having a successful football program makes it much easier for Ohio State (and recently, Stanford) to pay for the other programs.

...the athletic department doesn't revolve around the football team.

Actually, it does. The football team is the sun that keeps the rest of the Ohio State solar system sports planets alive. That's not to say that the 37 sports planets revolving around it aren't a vital part of the solar system, but there's no doubt as to which sport is the sun.

Just love the answer Bielema gave Wednesday in regards to his quote last summer about not wanting to be like the SEC.

I do not know how that quote could be taken out of context, as Bielema suggested Wednesday. It's pretty black-and-white.

On the other hand, this is the same guy who was telling recruits Ohio State was getting the Death Penalty...

I think we are arguing around the point.

I'm saying the funding of the other programs is easier because of the football programs' existence, you all are saying the programs are brighter because of it.

Kind of equal if you ask me. For a University the size of Ohio State, if the university wants a program to exist, it will, if it doesn't, it won't. In this case, the programs have the cutting edge is almost everything because of the football program basically allowing the university to focus elsewhere.

In the past, sports were cheaper to run. Coaches were payed less, facilities were not as nice. We also certainly didn't have as many sports before the TV contracts.

Regardless, based on your post directly above this one, it seems we agree. Funding other programs is easier, and in some cases possible, because of the existence of the football team.

Wow. Great to know. Thanks for giving your full time and effort into the team Bret. Un[censored]ingreal.

Wow...I am going to quit saying that I can't hate him anymore. I don't even know how I can be surprised anymore on just how big of a douche he is.

Between this and him joking "maybe they will win one now" it just shows zero fucks given for the kids. I hate Bucky as much as anyone here but kids like Montee Ball forego the NFL to come back to your team and you have kids like Aberderis and Borland who absolutely bust their ass for their university, yet he can laugh about leaving them and trying to look for other jobs during the season.

I went 2-8 my senior season but I loved my teammates and my coach...he gave us everything he had in return for our very best efforts. I would rather have a coach like that and come up short than be successful under a douche that could not care less about you. This very same concept brought Urban to tears before The Game...the brotherhood and loyalty is what makes the game of football so great and unique. And when people like Bielema pull this shit, it is a disrespect to the players and the game of football, which is even worse than the shennanigans he has pulled before. At least most coaches leave their school with dignity and respect for their players...and then you have guys like Kiffin and Bielema who can't even get that right for the kids that busted their ass for them.

What he has is timing.

He avoids the bowl blow-out loss: "Of course, I am disappointed. I love those kids. I recruited them. But Wisconsin couldn't really make us competitive because of assistant salaries and I had to move on. They're a great team. I'm disappointed that the distraction impacted on their preparation. They'll be right back in it next year"

He avoids Urban Meyer: He'll never get into the SEC championship game, let alone a BCS bowl matchup. So, he'll claim to have "owned" Ohio State or at least to have been very competitive. "I'm sorry that I didn't really get a chance to aveng that loss to Meyer. One bad call reversed and we'd of won it. I did very well in Columbus, we owned Ohio Stadium. I'm really looking forward to that opportunity. We'll see if we can't get them on the schedule." (read that last sentence again)

BH: What are your thoughts on former coach Bobby Petrino? What about Jessica Dorrell? Plan on getting a motorcycle?

BB: Never heard of him. Jessica is a wonderful young lady. We have had several conversations & she seems highly qualified to hold any number of positions on the staff at my new school. And shit yes, always wanted a Ninja!

Not sure how he'll be able to claim to have owned OSU or at least to have been very competitive when his career record against OSU stands at a laughable 1-5.
