Bret Bielema (HC Illinois)

Gosh, I just keep thinking of that "Simpsons" episode where Danny DeVito is yelling, "$82,000, for this monstrosity (the Homer car)?"

Arkansas is giving $4 million to a guy w/o a national championship, coming off of an 8-5 record.

If he even asked Barry Alvarez to match that, I hope Alvarez laughed in his face.

If he left Wiscy for money, then it tends to validate the B1G picking up Maryland and Rutgers. The extra money makes will make the B1G better than it otherwise was.

what do you do if you're wiscy now?

you can't let the world think a mid tier program was able to "steal" your coach.
but you also can't let everyone think you're too cheap to keep the guy who just took you to the rose bowl again.

Alvarez probably asked Biff to hang on a minute as he began calling Chryst......

If Bielema really told his assistant coaches that he was leaving to win championships, as being reported, then he's delusional.

I think the Sugar Bowl was Arkansas' only BCS bowl.

Hope his assistants continue to be mad about his statements (more/less Wisconsin is not good enough) and the way he left.

It's really not the complicated. Arkansas just shot their wad. The same school that humiliated itself hiring John L. Smith.

Wisconsin can hire away a guy that fits Wisconsin's values to a "T". Again, Biff just carried on the mentality Barry Alvarez created. They're the only school in the country that plays with that style, and they'll maintain it when Biff leaves.

I really don't see this as an "SEC" win. It's an awful hire. Biff was only successful because of a phenomenal groundwork laid by Alvarez. When Arkansas fails miserably next year as Biff tries to turn them into a power run team, it will be Wisconsin that has the last laugh.

The media is stupid.

Spoke with two more Wisconsin assistants tonight. As a group they do not seem overly pleased with the way BB left and what he had to say

exactly.
the school stupid enough to hire John L. was good enough to hire him away from Wiscy.

what style is that?
power running game and solid defense?

LSU and Bama have been playing that style for a while now.

What an idiot. Assdouche leaves one of the better programs in the Big Ten, a conference where he could conceivably get to a championship in, only to leave for a subpar program that will get fisted on a weekly basis in the SEC. Can't wait to see Assdouche cry when the SEC vultures come after his recruits...better invest that money wisely.

Aside from all that, way to just [censored] your alma matter that treated you so well and gave you everything you had. Seriously, [censored] this guy...I can't hate him anymore at this point and I thought it was impossible to hate him more than I did yesterday. This might not be awful though...more than likely means Chryst comes back. While I will still hate Wisky, it will be really hard to hate them as much as I did with Assdouche as coach.
