How's your relative handling the news?!
LMFAO....I have been trying to get him on the phone for an hour...it went into VM after 4 rings the first time, and now I think he just shut it off.

He had such a friggin man-crush on Douche Bret it is ridiculous and he knows that I am going to torture him like a Gitmo inmate. I think I am going to call my sister and see if he is shit faced yet

Sometimes the ramifications of people's decisions are just beautiful to see.

according to Arkansas boosters, "the sky is the limit now."

they'll allegedly give him whatever he wants for facilities, and they will spend more than anyone else.
They were already in the process of having new facilities built in Madison, though I can imagine Arkansas boosters are willing to go balls to the wall on spending.

Wow, he is something of a minority in Wisconsin then. The reaction here has been anywhere from surprised joy to elation. He was not very well liked despite his record (shocker, I know).

Sis confirms that he is ignoring me....says he is coming home late because he and a bunch of other Badgers are going to drink away their sorrows (they live in Chicago). Told her that he had to man up and call me even if he is shit-faced otherwise I would plant his ass in the middle of the Stanford section (I already did) for the Rose Bowl.

My definition of win-win

Is it really a blow to the Big Ten? I keep seeing headlines.

I'm assuming certain media outlets are taking advantage of the uniformed (as usual).

Bielema was basically .500 against the big programs in the conference for his tenure. If Urban or Chris Farley left immediately after taking over their programs, that would be a blow.

Not this.

Sorry man, I've got to disagree. I was just up in Madison about a month ago and had a great argument/discussion with about a dozen Cheesehead Douche Bret fans at the downtown Great Dane. I think he had plenty of fans.....although they were all worried about OSU in the future.

My BIL, grew up in Eau Claire, lives in Chicago and is an Alum.

Told me that he was "as hard as chinese calculus" during the NU game. Couldn't stop going on about the "genius" of their game plan. LOL.....

Any chance to take a swipe, I suppose.

I'm with ya on this one.

More of a "Huh?! Really?! Arkansas??" situation. I mean...it just doesn't seem right. Terrible for all parties involved.

Good for outsides, though. Plenty of laughs to spread around.

Huh. I guess the majority I've always heard is that most people really dislike him. I know it's unofficial, but I think this gives you a pretty good idea: http://www.jsonline.com/sports/182064421.html?results=y&mr=1&pid=182064421&cid=8500544

For more evidence, check the comment section on the article covering his departure.

His move is so obvious that it is as clear as the tears streaming down his face. This guy knows that his chance of seeing the rose bowl again as the Badger coach is zero. We'll kick his ass for a few years and then Penn State will double the fun. No southern recruits want to go to a school where you have to learn how to drive a snowmobile to get around. He is jumping off the ship with the first glass of champagne and all of his assistants. Better to leave a few years early when you can get paid than stay a few years too long.

He just confirmed what we already knew
