So what you're saying is you need a degree from an ACC program in order to aquire enough knowledge to be able to take a snap turn around and give it to the best player on the team?

Apparently, that approach isn't drawing five star QB recruits to Madison. I wonder how long Bret can keep this going?

I wouldnt want to go to Wisconsin if I was any QB recruit....be in line to compete for a starting job....then suddenly kicked to curb for ACC Free Agent

If anything, that reinforces my point even more.

Well no it doesn't.

I'm not really arguing that the article is right (it's actually a bit of nonsense) but when your defense is "our recruiting is fine...the problem is that we have our top player injured and no one else with enough experience to step in" then you are de facto admitting that there is a problem with roster management.

Maybe, but the situation is exacerbated when two of your potential starters are racked by injuries.

Let's say Braxton went down today with an injury. Then say Guiton has been hampered by a sore knee. Would you have a ton of faith that those #3 or #4 guys are ready to play right away? I'm not saying the issue should be resolved by bringing other guys in, but sometimes you find yourself in these kinds of circumstances.

No. But I don't think you'll find too many Buckeye fans saying that the recruiting at that position has been solid lately, either.

The Buckeyes haven't successfully recruited/retained depth at the quarterback position since Smith/Zwick. Honestly, that's a change I've been looking forward to with the new staff... a willingness to bring in more than one QB in a class when necessary, and the ability to retain guys after their redshirt freshman season if they lose a position battle and have to spend some time as a backup.
