Braylon Edwards (official drop thread)

Heard an interesting statistic on the radio, where Braylon averages well over 100 yards on Monday Night Football (national TV), but only 60ish on Sundays (regional or no TV, ignoring $400 plans).

Here are the quotes which have everyone up in a tizzy:

Here are the top 25 jerseys in terms of sales:

6. LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego Chargers
7. Byron Leftwich, Jacksonville Jaguars
8. Carnell Williams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
9. Jeremy Shockey, New York Giants
10. Tiki Barber, New York Giants
11. Mike Alstott, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I liked this response by SacTribe myself:

"He's right, he isn't those guys. They came to play every down, every game. He doesn't. He resurrected the team?? Well, thank you Jesus Edwards, Im sure all your teammates are glad to hear that. Since you can resurrect a team, do you think you can do something about your hands??

I know the fans expect a lot, but if you're not busy raising the dead, or healing the blind and the sick, could you just catch the damn ball?"

Time to send Braylon, Winslow, and Anderson to Detroit for Calvin Johnson. The Lions get 2 playmakers on offense and a QB that is at least twice as good as anyone they have and the Browns get back a top of the line WR that can actually catch.

The Vermont Teddy Bear Company has added a Braylon Edwards bear in time for the holidays. Looks like a normal teddy bear except it has no hands.

I wasn't particularly happy when the Browns drafted Edwards. Not because he was a skunkbear, mainly because of his prima donna attitude and his inability to catch the routine pass.

This year I have grown to not really like Edwards because of his prima donna attitude and his inability to catch the ball.

But if Edwards wants to believe that people such as myself boo him because he is a skunkbear, then good luck at your next stop in the NFL Braylon. And good luck to the team that takes you since your ability to rationalize may hinder your attempts to improve at what you are paid to do...catch the damn ball.

I told a buddy of mine the exact same thing about a month ago. The only thing I added to what we get from Detroit is a draft pick in addition to Calvin.

What did he think? Seems win/win to me. I don't even need a draft pick to ship out those two headcases.

I see Bratlon tried to take back alot of what he said today. Nice move (if I can steal it from JC) numbnuts. You can do alot of crap in Cleveland and the fans will forgive you, but one thing you DO NOT want to do is call them out. Bank on it that Bratlon is going to be in for one helluva'n awakening on sunday. Browns stadium will be about 1/2 filled with diehard fans from the Cobra-Kai school of Sensei John Kreese. "NO MERCY" will be the call of the day for Bratlon on sunday, and I guarantee after the game that his pussy-ass will be barking yet another tune about wanting to have a long career in Cleveland.

That must be the reason there are a couple of articles in the PD today regarding security at the Stadium. It's too bad that the crowd will be so sparse because now we will not feel the full benefit of the wrath of Cleveland Browns fans. I don't think this guy is ever going to learn to just shut his pie hole. I mean if he had some skill, like catching a football, I would not mind if he ran his pie hole all year long but he does not have that skill.

I would do that trade in a heartbeat but if the Lions would do that in their fan base might crumple more than it already has. The Browns would need to do that deal before Matt Millen leaves the Lions if he has not already.

What could add special insult to injury is that he could be upstaged by both Ocho Stinko and Houshmanzoo in front of the home fans to top it all off. If they both catch TDs and get to do their little dances and Braylon drops a couple, look out.
