What could PSU be selling him? Because unlike the other 23 positions on the team there, it won't be early playing time... (Christian Hackenberg)
But it's still early...
Definitely early, but the best QB on our board (imo) and a guy we invested a lot of time on...so it still is a bummer.
While that would be nice, I'm less optimistic that will be the case.Committed to PSU. Watched his press conference and seems like a really sharp kid. When asked about Penn State, he said that he "expects them to come in and dominate the B1G." If Franklin loses a lot this season, I would bet that a lot of these kids will be play their college football elsewhere.
While that would be nice, I'm less optimistic that will be the case.
Even if they have an awful year he can just change it to dominating the conference next year when they're on the team.
Once they've bought in to the excitement, it will take a few years of mediocrity for reality to sink in. Once again, see Hoke at Michigan the past three years for an example.
Don't forget mike stoops at UK.Exactly, this is a classic case of a new coach coming in and raising excitement levels of the fan base and recruits. Similar things are happening in Austin, TX at UT for Charlie strong as well, maybe not to the same extent as PSU but similar, as did cHoke when he first got to scUM. Funny how kids don't realize that when they first get to college that they won't win every game and they're only "worm $hi* freshman"(quoted so eloquently from the cinema classic: The Program)
Don't forget mike stoops at UK.
@StanfordRivals: 2015 QB recruiting development: Penn State commit Brandon Wimbush is currently on Stanford's campus participating in the Cardinal's QB camp.
Interesting move nonetheless.@StanfordRivals: #Rivals100 Brandon Wimbush remains committed to Penn State, loves that staff. He is a high academic kid interested in exploring Stanford.
