Frohlich is right. One of the highly sought after QB consultants was impressed with Harris.

Perhaps his tape does not match what these experts see live. Perhaps his team is not up to par with other teams. Perhabs the system he is in does not utilize his talents like he is able to show in camps.. Who knows.

I don't disagree with your assement, based on film I have seen I am not sure he would be in my top 10. Might explain why I am typing about recruits and not getting paid to do actually recruit them :oh:

You are completely right...I see him as a mid-level BCS conference QB on film...clearly there is more than meets the eye or he would not have the offers he has. Heck, we didn't offer for a bit and when we saw him in person, he had one immediately. The staff loves him and while I personally would much prefer Allen, I would be happy with Harris based on how the staff feels about him. Anyways, my film review is the only one not glowing and it is on the first or second page of the thread if you want to read it zebira.

Just read your review, and I'm in complete agreement. I think a throw first qb who is extremely accurate like Allen could kill it in this offensive with all the play makers we have. All we need is to get the ball in their hands.

But we don't have a throw first qb currently (at least he wasn't last year) and he came in the top 5 in the heisman race last year. An athletic qb who can also do things with his legs to extend plays and find open men when the play breaks down is also coveted in this offense and it seems that's what harris excels at. Heck, that's what Barrett excels at too, when looking at his tape at wichita falls, tx he didn't make many dart throws or excel at passing, he was good and had a lot of potential, similar to harris I believe. I'm just playing devils advocate because I'd love to get any 1 of the 3 qbs we offered because they bring their own skill set to the bucks offense

Scout $ - Harris Talks Elite-11, OSU Visit

By Young & Greene....Recaps his performance at the Elite 11 camp and believes he'll be invited to The Opening & the Elite 11 Finals. Also recaps his tOSU visit & says it was great spending time with Coach Meyer, Archie & Braxton. Loved the facilities & how he was made a priority as soon as he arrived on campus. Will announce on July 18th.

Whatever doubt anyone had before today is now gone.....few clips I saw looked impressive.....want.

Glad to hear it. I am curious to know whether you like him over Kyle Allen and Zack Darlington at this point of time? If so, what are our chances?

Anyone know when we pulled a recruit from LA?

I'd say Allen & Harris are 1a & 1b and you can't really go wrong with either. Both would fit tOSU's offense nicely. Provided Allen visits (all signs point towards that happening), the Buckeyes are right in the mix with both. I believe Allen is supposed to announce before Harris, so it may come down to who pulls the trigger first.

Without Darlington visiting and/or camping, I don't see him here.
