He does have a better education than you! :tongue2:

I realize that, and I'm not disagreeing with him, if you'll... once you get past the "Please buy my book because it's scary" title... you realize that he's not calling it fascism, but that the indoctrination process might be similar.

He does sort of go on to say that the extreme christian right might be haevily anti-semitic but... it could be pretty easily argued that there is race based component on one hand and a religious based component on the other.

The rest of the stuff is pretty garden variety authoritarian cult of personality tactics...

If you have a duck-bill and webbed feet, you still might be a platypus.

I have heard him and his point is well defended. I'm sure many in pre-WWII Germany/Europe didn't think there was anything to worry about either.
Of course it could never happen here!

I'm not saying there's nothing to worry about, I'm not saying that this kind of indoctrination isn't worrisome... all I'm saying is that you're using the word "fascism" completely incorrectly.

Like I said. It's a broader definition, backed up by someone with a better education(arguably) than you. The real point is like you say. This kind of "indoctrination/belief is something to worry about.

There is no broader definition here. If you want to make it a simile, fine, there are aspects of some set of kookballs that are LIKE fascism. It isn't fascism.

You, and Hedges are simply using the word for shock value. Period.

Let me know when they are taking my guns and putting the atheists on trains, beleive me, they aren't going to get me without a fight... don't you worry.
