Huh? Tressel was 135?57?2 at YSU with 4 National Titles...
Brady Hoke is 47-50 with 1 bowl win.
JT had a great track record, the only question was could he do it at Ohio State.
Look, I'll be the first to admit I was skeptical when JT was hired, and I admire you enthusiasm, but a statement like this is just silly. There's a lot of questions to be answered with Hoke, the quality of opponents is going to be much tougher, Notre Dame is building, MSU is becoming a quality team and now you have Nebraska coming in. The current team is a friggin joke, actually, it's the punchline to a joke.
Will he be able to recruit? Sure, it's still tsun, they still get good kids that want to go there, they still have a loyal fan base. The big question is, will he be able to coach and plan against teams that really just like beating the crap out of your school. This isn't ball state, and it isn't sdsu. He's had one good season, and only three seasons where he finished with a winning record.
It looks like he's trying to put the right people in the right positions, it looks like he's trying to mend fences with high school coaches and the alumni, and all of that is great, if he can produce on the field.
