Brady "XLLL" Hoke (Head Coach San Diego State)

I have to give credit to several of our posters, who always maintained from day one, Hoke was not the answer at UM. After his first year (11-2), and a great recruiting class, I thought UM had struck gold. Today, Hoke is like a wounded animal, bleeding out, waiting for the end.

What are you talking about? The guy just needs time, give him about 10 more years then decide, it's way too early right now.

OCBucksFan has a point. Let's not be hasty. Hoke has a lot of promise. A lot.

He promised to turn things around in AA and he has. OK, maybe not in the direction they would have liked, but to hang him for a loss today and a blow-out humiliation in a few weeks, seems to me to be premature. Give him four more years. Let him truly have a team of his own choosing. Then, we can decided whether he needs another five years to be fairly assessed.

Fairness and transparency. It's the right thing to do.

What about his 46-50 record over 8 seasons as a head coach lead you to believe he was a good hire? One of them was even a 12-1 season which makes his failures over the other 7 years even more apparent. I guess if people compared his hire the USC hiring of Lane Kiffin he seems like a decent hire.

His is what I've always thought he was as a head coach. In over his head at a school like Michigan.

If he wasn't a coach, he wanted to be a secret service agent.

Wanted to protect the president.

That would have ended poorly.

This would have been his career, i.e. homelss bum protecting his shopping cart:

I thought there was some story that harbaugh had pissed someone in AA off (LLLLLLoyd, maybe?) and that he was not on their list of potential candidates anyway.....

as I recall...didn't JH have some public comments questioning the character of some of the players that RR was recruiting to AA and how they didn't fit the 'Michigan Man' mold? If I remember at the time scUM'ers also blated JH for making those comments.

I believe the word her is 'Karma'.

but I could be wrong.
