Like everyone else here, if he proves me wrong.. great i'll be happy about it! Hes a home town guy and if he turns into peyton manning i'll be thrilled..

...taking of the scarlet glass, I can't help but wonder. If he had gone to tOSU, wouldn't he probably be a home town hero who was just trying to get the best contract he could instead of some selfish loser who is greedy?
I dont think he's a selfish loser whos greedy, my take on the whole situation was Brady you were drafted at #22, so thats what you should get paid unless your performance on the field demands more money.

I think we'd be fine with Quinn if we could some how get a good running game. We seem to be focusing on the line more than the running back position(which I agree with), but Quinn or whomever the Brown's QB is will eventually need a good running back to take some of the pressure off them. It seems like the Browns always have one of the two or three worst starting running backs in the entire league. Hopefully we'll address that soon.
I disagree. Getting rid of a beat up and slow Droughns and getting Jamal Lewis, who by the way has dropped weight and has a chip on his shoulder, was a HUGE upgrade.. I like Savage saying "A hungry Jamal is a good Jamal".. Jamal has 1.5 in incentives to earn this year, let him have at it.. he's 27 and with the options at wideout, between Braylon (if he's improved, which he seems to be) and Winslow.. the browns offense isn't looking too shabby at all.

I guess I really don't understand some of you who post on this forum. Way back, I posted how long I have been a Browns fan so I won't go into that again. I will say that I went to a Cleveland public school and learned to hate St. Ignatius very early in my life. Along with that hate for St. Ignatius came the hate for Notre Dame and it has not left me. Saying that, I have been in a Browns fan all my life and will be a Browns fan until I die. I did not like BQ when he played for ND and I hope they lost every game but when he was drafted by the Browns he became a Cleveland Brown. Now I am his biggest fan and want him to succeed more than quite a few of you who have posted your hatred for him. The only chance the Browns will ever get to a Super Bowl will be with a good QB. Hopefully, Frye, Anderson, or BQ will be that quarterback. I don't care which one as long as the Cleveland Browns make it to the Super Bowl.
So I can't dislike someone based on their past performance? I cant say, hey Browns stupid pick the kid did nothing that stood out in his college career? I understand he's a brown now, and on sundays i'll cheer for him (gross) but i would think the majority on this bored 1.) Dont "hate" quinn, and 2.) base there problems with him off of his career as a passer

Define "good" The bucks won the 02 with a QB who wasn't a peyton manning, and the NFL example would be Dilfer not too long ago..

I would define "good" as a QB who can handle the ball without fumbling, getting rid of the ball before being sacked, being able to complete 15-20 yard passes in crucial situations, and being able to keep drives alive with his legs or short passes. I believe BQ has those assets.

mormon has nothing to do with it. he did a mission right after high school due to his religion and is therefore a 27 year old rookie, nothing more, nothing less. The fact that he is 27 and just a rookie in the NFL is why he wasn't a viable draft pick. Steve Young would probably say the same.

Considering he was born on 21 August 81, he was drafted at 25 years old and will be 26 just before the start of the season, if he starts before the next 2 years, he will be right on par with the rest of NFL QB's. Look at guys like Brees and Rivers, when did they hit thier primes and start for thier NFL teams? Rivers is only afew months younger and Brees was born in 79. I guess we will see, But Id rather have a mature kid who will be focused ont he game than trying to pad his pockets like Quinn (nothing agianst him), because in my opinion maturity can make all the difference. Look at what a lack of maturity did for Ryan Leaf and Maurice clarrett, talent can only get you so far

Ok, then we have 3 QBs who should be capable. The one thing that remains to be seen by Brady is playing in "crucial situations" which is where i'm the hardest on him for.. time will tell and hopefully hes a hall of famer

Quinn reports to Browns after 'frustrating' contract dispute

BEREA, Ohio -- Brady Quinn didn't have to sweat out this wait wearing a three-piece suit.

Even so, it was every bit as agonizing as draft day.

Hours after the quarterback ended his 11-day training camp holdout by signing a five-year, $20.2 million contract with the Cleveland Browns, Quinn said he understands that nothing -- not a starting job or support from teammates or fans -- will be handed to him.

"Believe me, I don't deserve anything," he said Wednesday. "I think I have to earn a lot with the coaching staff but also with the team. But that's just something that you have to understand coming into it, especially as a rookie.

so ,you would prefer a 26 year old rookie that is a project. you will be in the minority in that stance.

Ive just noticed people complaining about the price for Quinn including this years second and next years first pick. I actually think Beck will surprise alot of people and is being discaounted because of age alone. I could be wrong, and nothing against Quinn, but I wouldnt put him that much higher than Beck, They were both drafted around where they should have been. I guess Im one of the few who has seen Beck play so I would say I know more about him than the average fan would, based solely on watching games. I have dish detwork so i can get BYU TV (being a mormon, its good to get BYU sports and church programs) Thats doesnt make me any kind of expert though, just allows me to have an opinion based off what ive seen, not just what has been printed in numerous scouting reports. Being drafted by the dolphins actually helps him, and he might see more playing time than Quinn this season. I wish both of the QB's the best of Luck, but would love to see beck develpoe into another Dan Marino type QB.

i guess I just dont see him as being any more of a "project" than Frye was, or Quinn and Russell are. Or any other QB thats get drafted high and the expectations placed on them.

Quinn don't forget people are going to start calling you a homosexual a lot, so you will need to have 2 kids with two different ladies within a short time of each other to prove the people wrong.

Well said...as Browns fans, lets give him a shot...

Here's an interview with him today on WTAM 1100

One dumbass reporter told Quinn that the average resident in Cleveland makes $26,000. She asked him if he thought the fans would resent him for making more than them per year...:shake:

Why wouldn't you say, "So you have a 26(27)-year old rookie QB..." if that's what you were inferring?

I don't see the big deal, when he says mormon and 26 years old I know 'oh he must of went to BYU and did a mission trip, instead of wondering 'why is he joining the draft at 26 years old, is he a mlb pitcher who converted to football?'
