Brady Quinn (Fox CFB Analyst)

I think we'd be fine with Quinn if we could some how get a good running game. We seem to be focusing on the line more than the running back position(which I agree with), but Quinn or whomever the Brown's QB is will eventually need a good running back to take some of the pressure off them. It seems like the Browns always have one of the two or three worst starting running backs in the entire league. Hopefully we'll address that soon.

I think some would have been more understanding, but a lot of Notre Dame fans I encountered were even saying that Quinn's holdout was stupid and that he's hurting his chances to start this year.

Most had no problems with him wanting as much money as he can get(I don't either, considering the length of careers in the NFL), but they thought he was asking for too much. I think I would have reacted the same way if he had gone to Ohio State. There's asking for a little extra, then there's asking for too much.

...taking of the scarlet glass, I can't help but wonder. If he had gone to tOSU, wouldn't he probably be a home town hero who was just trying to get the best contract he could instead of some selfish loser who is greedy?
If he went to tOSU then he would be a fifth year senior that all of us couldn't wait to see what he was capable of.

They saved a bunch of money on their QB insurance, though... much cheaper than a real QB named Brohm.

And more expensive than a guy like Beck or Kolb, who would have been available while keeping that 1st rounder in 2008. :wink2:

I'll be happy to eat crow if Brandy Quinn turns into the next Peyton Manning. His only problem is that that relies on him not sucking, which is going to be tough for him.

I have been totally against the Browns drafting Brady, but since he is here, and we are stuck with him, I am going to at least give the guy a shot. He has the tools to be a good QB, and the improved personnel on the O-Line is certainly going to help. I just hope that either Anderson or Frye becomes our version of the Brees/Rivers scenario from a few years back. Isn't Cleveland due just a little luck and good fortune at some point?

I guess I really don't understand some of you who post on this forum. Way back, I posted how long I have been a Browns fan so I won't go into that again. I will say that I went to a Cleveland public school and learned to hate St. Ignatius very early in my life. Along with that hate for St. Ignatius came the hate for Notre Dame and it has not left me. Saying that, I have been in a Browns fan all my life and will be a Browns fan until I die. I did not like BQ when he played for ND and I hope they lost every game but when he was drafted by the Browns he became a Cleveland Brown. Now I am his biggest fan and want him to succeed more than quite a few of you who have posted your hatred for him. The only chance the Browns will ever get to a Super Bowl will be with a good QB. Hopefully, Frye, Anderson, or BQ will be that quarterback. I don't care which one as long as the Cleveland Browns make it to the Super Bowl.

whats mormon have to do with anything, I guess that means Steve Young wasnt a good QB, because after all he is mormon.

mormon has nothing to do with it. he did a mission right after high school due to his religion and is therefore a 27 year old rookie, nothing more, nothing less. The fact that he is 27 and just a rookie in the NFL is why he wasn't a viable draft pick. Steve Young would probably say the same.
