Brady Quinn (Fox CFB Analyst)

Yeah, and if the calculus works out right for the team, they won't hesitate to cut him, tag him, or do any other number of things that he doesn't want. There is no loyalty on either side.

So that means he can hold out for days and weeks on end before he even does anything? Huh?

Again, the Browns were idiots to draft him in the first place.

Now there we fully agree. Quinn isn't worth these headaches.

You know Jabba the Weiss is telling him how good he is ever other day rather than doing what he can to get him into camp. Yeah Brady wait to see what the Raiders give Russell so that you know what fair market value is for top draft picks.

I think Brady should wait to see what John David Booty gets for a contract next year, if ya know what I mean

He's not really holding out since he doesn't have a contract. People said he was nuts to think he could get paid higher than the 22 spot. Well, they were wrong because the Browns have already offered him above his spot. It's kind of that "we've already established you'll have sex for money. Now we're just haggling over price."

I won't even begin to get into the "is it a holdout or isn't it" debate.

Until Brady ends his current holdout, he's worthless to the team he "loves" but on a brighter note, is showing his true colors.

I think he's eligible for the 09 draft. Imagine if Brady Quinn were good. He might even be worth the headache if that were the case. But he's not....

I have the same sentimnent and stated it on draft day...this guy has disaster written all over him

It'll be nice when the Browns finally hire someone who understands Ohio and the Cleveland fan base...it's funny we continue to draft arrogant, prima donna's....I'd like to congratulate Brady on his latest ESPN story, it really will help build the bridge to Cleveland management and fans

I think Joe Thomas, "the guy who gutted a fucking trout on ESPN during the draft," is a pretty stand-up guy.

Although, we are paying him substantial money.
"If we don't do something about rookie salaries pretty soon, the salary cap will be meaningless. [Indianapolis defensive end] Dwight Freeney got $30 million in guarantees after leading the league in sacks over the past five years. [Cleveland rookie tackle] Joe Thomas got $23 million in guarantees for breathing.'' -- Anonymous, but wise, NFL general manager.

As we should be paying the #3 pick.

I was pissed when we gave up so much to draft Quinn, but I was willing to give him a chance based on his "I want to help th Browns, I'm a Browns fan schtick". Could have made a great story. Now he's on ESPN working out with LJ and charging $75 for autographs. Fuck him.

The Browns have made some progress in negotiations for quarterback Brady Quinn and are now only about $500,000 apart in guaranteed money. However, there are other issues holding up the deal, including the triggers for the incentive package. The No. 22 overall pick, Quinn is seeking about $8 million in guaranteed money, same as the No. 20 overall pick, and the Browns have increased their guaranteed offer to about $7.5 million.

Well, it appears like has been said the hold up is the triggers for the incentive package. I'm curious as to just what those triggers are. I just hope that Charlie and DA are using this as additional incentive to up their game. I'd love nothing more for one of them to develop into a good NFL QB and keep this fuckstick on the bench.

the triggers are playing time and nothing else. if all the triggers are hit, quinn will get paid like the #9 draft pick. the browns want performance based triggers for the kind of incentives he wants.
