Bracketology and Selection Sunday Discussion

The nation's leading scorer this season (30.0 ppg), and 4th all time in D1 history, will not be in the Dance. Chris Clemons' Campbell Fighting Camels were upset in the semifinals of the Big South tournament by Gardner Webb, 79-74. Clemons was held to 23 points in the loss.

It's basically reached the point where unless Gonzaga gets upset in their conference tourney all at-large bids will go to power 5 schools.

16-15? Who cares? You got 4 Quad 1 wins so come on down.

Ohio State fans will be very happy to see Alabama lose this game. They are probably below us on the bubble. Giddens riding the pine the whole time.
Yes, between Alabama and Florida losing, those are the only positive results of the day for fellow bubble teams. Although I wonder how safe Texas really can be at 1 game over .500 entering the Big 12 tournament, I believe with a game vs Kansas on deck.

Anyone know if this OVC game will be a potential bid stealer? Murrary State is listed Next Four Out right now. If they beat Belmont would Belmont be a more attractive at large?

Both teams being 26-4 and listed as bubble teams by multiple sources suggests both may get in regardless, but the loser should be very uncomfortable come selection Sunday.

Me? I'd put them both in rather than some bullshit 17-15 team from the Big XII.

I wouldn't pick Belmont as an at-large if it was me. They lost only 5 times, but played a super weak schedule and three of their losses were to teams not even in the top-100, and their best wins were against Lipscomb. I don't think the talent level at Belmont is truly on par with that of the middling power conference teams. They would be out in my book.
