Both sides (raffle vs. auction) have merit. I think we probably go the raffle route. It's possible it will bring in less than waiting until most tickets are sold on eBay then dropping a short auction, but I really like the idea of it being internal. The thought of a couple of our members getting into the game for $10.00 (again, arbitrary number, does that seem like a fair number for an entry?) really leaves me feeling good about the whole thing. Although, then there's everyone who kicked in $10 and came away with nothing but a little Buckeye medal on their profile. So I guess it goes both ways.
Anyway, if we go the drawing route, I'll probably want to kick it off asap (tomorrow) to allow for multiple means of entry. I would probably make Paypal available again, and post my address so that people can mail as well. If it starts tomorrow, and we do the drawing next Friday, that *should* be enough time (Thurs, Fri, Sat, Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs, Fri -- 8 mail days) for people to have the postal service as a viable alternative to Paypal.
I do appreciate the feedback. I know we've said twice a year on drives, and I'm not looking to deviate from that, but this terrific act on the part of the poster in question requires some sort of action, and as they were intended to be used in a sale of some sort to benefit the website, and as we're approaching a relatively critical point with the hardware, I'm all for doing this -- particularly as it means BP will be 2 people better represented at the game. Excuse my meanderings here, I've discovered I struggle with generosity. Which isn't to say I don't appreciate the gesture of this poster, or those of everyone who contributes to this site, whether the contribution be money in Spring or Fall, or countless hours working on the recruiting area, or the new, or moderation, pick'em, unique content, game previews (how incredible were those this year?), etc. I'm getting lost on a tangent here, but I just want to say I'm incredibly proud of the fact that we really do have a community here, and not just a group of posters.
As far as the drawing itself, I wonder if there's a website that handles random drawings? It would be nice to have some easy external/third party handle that aspect.
Much to look into.

ONE SENTENCE! I'm so proud. I'll be back after beating myself around the head with The Chicago Manual of Style until I bleed.
