Boston Red Sox (9x World Series Champions)

to the MLB: :tibor:

Jeff Horrigan of the Herald reports that MLB has been bothered by the Red Sox's "propensity for using profanity during live broadcasts from the postseason interview room".

We all know about Josh Beckett, but Curt Schilling and Terry Francona also used expletives on Saturday night.

MLB senior vice president for club relations Phyllis Merhige:
Obviously, we're concerned with the profanity going out on a live feed. This is not the first year we've done it, but I can't remember another year it's come up so often. It's something we may have to readdress with the team prior to the World Series. I have not reminded them on a daily basis that it's going out live and perhaps I've assumed too much.

The Joy of Sox: Eff Yeah!

He got caught on camera calling an umpire a "fucking cunt" from the dugout not too long ago. There's a gif of it somewhere.

Josh is certainly a great pitcher and one of the best pitchers probably ever in the playoffs, but he is a total arrogant douche bag. No wonder every time they showed him in the dugout during the LCS he was sitting by himself.

Want to take a moment to wish the best of luck to the SOX in the series. It hurts like hell as a lifelong Tribe fan to deal with what happened, but I guess it couldn't have been to a better group of players/people. It's hard to hate the Red Sox, simply because they don't have any assholes. Some may argue for Manny, but Manny isn't an asshole, he's an 8 year old child stuffed into a 35 year-old Hall Of Famer's body.

Losing to Bosaton was like losing to the Spurs in the NBA Finals. It sucks, but when you sit back and analyze it, we just got outplayed by better teams at the time, which makes losing a little easier to swallow.

GO SOX!!!!!

So. MLB, you can try to change the players' behavior; or simply require the TV and radio networks to install a 5-7 second delay for the postgame if they want to take broadcasts into the locker room. Otherwise, the FCC will fine you for being idiots. Tough call. :tongue2:

So, who do you sit in Coors? Papi or Youk?

Rotate... you can also include Lowell in there. But it also depends on the game situation. If Boston goes in up 2-0...3-0, you can sit Papi, if not... no way do you sit him. A co-worker of mine thought of sticking Youklis in right field and sitting Drew.
