    • Wow. I just gave out cash bonuses to some of my employees and am floored by the responses. This is definately my favorite time of the year and to give an unexpected windfall just lights up my day. Our secretary just came into my office with tears in her eyes and gave me a hug telling me how much she needed it and really hadn't expected it.

    It's good to be the President :)
     
    A Company I use to work for didn't like having to tax bonuses. So they handed out gift cards one year, $100 for every year of service, to Kohls.

    There were a few people who actually bitched out loud when they opened it because they "DON'T SHOP AT THAT PET STORE!!!"

    The following year, there were no bonuses at all.

    I get a freaking book that we've published for my bonus -- even though I work on them all day long! Sadness.

    I was thinking about starting this thread myself. Our big day was Wednesday. Was a good year here - was like playing Santa Claus to my guys. Even better, for myself, my expectations were a low, a middle, and a high number. What my boss told me was above my high number. Tis going to be a good Christmas!

    In the spirit of the season. I am truly blessed to live in this country, and at a time when my skills are valuable. I cant even begin to give enough thanks for how lucky I am.
