Mine was a longevity bonus. I am appreciative for it, but you have to love how they reward you for sticking around as opposed to showing initiative.

Last place I worked went through a merger, and I wound up in the building of the organization that took ours over. The week before Christmas, a box of cashews appeared downstairs with a note from the CEO. The old crew started cracking up and saying she must have figured it out.
Apparently, about five years earlier, she had given a box of chocolates, and there weren't enough for everyone to have a piece. So... nobody took one. Instead, they rewrapped the box and started an annual tradition. Each year, they go out for lunch and make a big deal of unwrapping the chocolates, expressing their gratitude for her generosity, and then re-wrapping it.
Funniest part is that the chocolates have been stored in plain sight most years, in the arms of a mannequin near the front door.
And oh, yes - I did get my cashew.

I obviously dont get a christmas bonus and I am loaning my dad 1,000 dollars to get my 4 little brothers christmas presents. I will however actually be home with my family this christmas so I dont know about all of you but im thrilled with that.

I get no bonus, though I do get a sweet stock share plan.
Company takes 25 percent of my salary up to a max of around $90K (I'm not quite there). Lets say it's $25K, I pay 10% of that over a year in our stock at a low price so I put in $2,500 and the company matches the other 90%. I get it all :)
This is on top of our normal stock purchase plan where they match 15% of whatever I buy, plus or 401K match....
I thank God everyday.
