Tom Brady is on line 2.

Tom Brady got his scrawny ass kicked up and down the field a few times while he was at M*ch*g*n IIRC. He didn't get to sit back untouched until he got to the pros and the Pats' O-line matured.

My point is, most QBs who go on to have success in the NFL have had times in college where they had to play through being treated roughly. When has Kellen Moore ever faced any such challenge?

Jeebers. Watching this makes me wish for a complete regime change just so we see a Buckeye offense with a modicum of creativity. Oh, and effectiveness.

How in the world does Peterson get a bunch of Kroger bag-boys to play like a BCS bowl team?

I just realized what really happened to Tibor.

He changed his name to Max.

Boise State beat Oklahoma in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl.

My guess is "no". He has thrived in a privileged position. He makes great decisions with the football, but he has all day to make them if he wants. QBs who play in that kind of setting in college (even if they are in a pro-style system, see also: Matt Leinart) tend to struggle in the NFL.

he's FAR better than Leinart. the kid has a boatload of experience, which cannot be discounted, and he's incredibly accurate.

I'm totally agreeing with you. Tom Brady now for the Pats is just like Moore--everyone wants to give them all the credit and not acknowledge that they're playing behind great o-lines that give them all day to throw and make their jobs worlds easier.

And they did that with Zabransky at QB. Kellen Moore hasn't been there that long, it just seems like it.

For me, the comparison for Kellen Moore is with Drew Brees. Short guys who are very good at reading defenses and accurate throwing the ball.

I honestly believe our d-line would eat their o-line for lunch. I also believe that our o-line would do some damage.

Curious as to what you have seen from Ohio State's O line in recent memory (the last 10 years for example) that would lead you to believe that they would "do some damage?" They wanted to do some damage last week but couldn't. Not that they didn't try, they just couldn't.

I loved Coach Tressel and I love Luke Fickell, but the O line is not and hasn't been a strong point on the Ohio State football team for quite some time.

There is a reason that Ohio State will miss Terrelle Pryor and it isn't his rocket arm and ability to read defenses. It's his ability to escape the pass rush, which is a very real concern. There is a reason that it takes a talent like Clarett or Wells to effectively establish any type of running game. That reason is that they can do a lot of it on their own.

Hopefully Brewster and the boys prove me to be a blathering idiot tonight and going forward, but the O line to me is the HUGE question mark (again) tonight and going forward.

The last two lines would certainly have done so. This line, particularly without Adams or linsley, has been inconsistent, particularly mr. hall. When Adams comes back and Norwell slides down that becomes a very different unit.

BSU is simply better than Ohio State right now... Can't say I'll say the same at the end of the season pending how we progress but at the moment it's true.

Well......they're better than our current hampered by injuries/suspensions team.

We put in Herron, and Posey and we have a lot more play making ability which includes the ability to catch some of the bad passes (and well Bauserman may have seen the normal playmakers instead of missing those reads too)

The score might have been the same as BSU's game against them.

Probably homerism, but who knows.

Not homerism in my IMO. Toledo literally blew what could have easily been 21 points (and with that, also blew my vBank). A dropped wide open TD in the first half (which may have lead to a different outcome of the Boise end of half TD drive mind you). And then 2 unforced turnovers inside the 10 yard line...

Yeah Boise's offense looked as it should have against Toledo. But what about their defense?? Although ESPiN didnt seem to notice, Toledo, TOLEDO, went up and down the field too, the score just doesn't show it. I don't think there's any doubt what we'd get if Boise played tOSU at full strength- a great football game. But I also don't think there's any chance Boise plays for a NC this year I think they lose a game, even with their cupcake schedule. Maybe TCU. But even if they don't, unimpressive outings against Toledos will not get them to the ship.

I don't know about you guys, but watching #4 struggle against Toledo (and let's be real, they DID struggle) makes me feel much better about last weeks game. This team has great potential, especially once we get the tat 4 back. :oh:
