On Mike and Mike
I love Bob Knight. He's going to bat and sticking up for Coach Tressel and saying the violations are a joke on ESPN which, is trying to kill Tressel/OSU while, Golic is acting like this is so bad what Tressel did.

Question for any lawyers on here. Wouldn't it be federal charges against Tressel if he warned the Players after that first email telling him about that Pawn shop being under federal drug investigations and the players names on it?

Spielman thinks more NCAA charges are coming for Tressel and OSU:( said he would love for his kid to play for Tresel

Would of liked to have heard that. Golic can't stand Ohio State so his opinion in this scenario is mute to me.

Not a lawyer, but receiving an email from an attorney who violated his confidentialty by informing Tressel. Tressel is not bound by the confidentialty issue because the attorney told him it was confidential. Tressel should have immeadetly printed the email and walked it down to the compliance officers desk, that would have taken all the responsibility of of him, period.

Sadly, I think Spielman is correct. Only time will tell, but I think the NCAA will vacate some wins and suspend Tressel for more games. Not sure on if there would be any reduction of scholarships yet. Just my opinion. Time will tell I guess.

I'm glad he's out of coaching because I thoroughly enjoy his work as a game analyst. I like someone who can really explain the game versus a pom pom waver any day of the week.

Knight apologizes to Calipari, Kentucky basketball

Bob Knight apologized to Kentucky and coach John Calipari Tuesday after claiming several Wildcats did not attend spring semester classes last year.

The Hall of Fame coach and ESPN analyst made the comments last weekend during a speaking engagement in Wabash, Ind., where Knight said Kentucky started five players in 2010 NCAA tournament games who had not been to class that semester. Parts of the speech were uploaded to YouTube. He went on to talk about declining academic integrity in college, citing play
ESPN commentator and former basketball coach Bob Knight aplogized to Kentucky and coach John Calipari for comments about Wildcats players.

Knight said in a brief statement released by ESPN: "My overall point is that 'one-and-dones' are not healthy for college basketball. I should not have made it personal to Kentucky and its players and I apologize."

Ohio State to honor Bob Knight when Buckeyes host son's team

Ohio State will honor former Buckeyes player and Hall of Fame college coach Bob Knight at a game in December against Lamar, which recently hired his son, Pat, as head coach, The Columbus Dispatch reported.

The game, Dec. 20 in Columbus, will come a month to the day after Bob Knight, who was a member of the Buckeyes' 1960 NCAA championship team, is scheduled to be inducted into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame in Kansas City.

Ohio State director of basketball operations Dave Egelhoff told The Dispatch via e-mail that he expects to receive a signed contract from Lamar within a week.

In the e-mail, Egelhoff said the game would be a ?great time? to honor Knight, something Egelhoff said Ohio State coach Thad Matta has been a ?big proponent of.?

Knight, who will be inducted Nov. 20, has 902 wins, the most by a Division I men?s coach, although it's likely Duke?s Mike Krzyzewski, who finished this season with 900 career victories, will have surpassed the record by then.
