Bo "The Grinch" Ryan (Hip Hop Dancer & Former Wisconsin Head Coach)

Bo, please, please have another flame-out in the opening weekend of the NCAA tourney this year.
Another? He's only lost once in the opening round in 9 appearances, to Arizona in 2005.
78% of the time, Bo Ryan's Wisconsin squad bows out in "in the opening weekend"

2010
2009
2007
2006
2004
2002

I'm not sure why you're going down this road.

The exceptions:

08 - lost 1st game of 2nd weekend
05 - lost 2nd game of 2nd weekend

Not his handiwork:

01 - opening round loss
00 - final four loss to NC winner MSU

The quote is, "All I know is we won the game, deal with it, our end, their end," he said.

He's telling Buckeye fans that Wisconsin won the game completely, at both ends of the court, and that the Buckeyes need to process that and live with it.

Wisconsin is a good team but I thoroughly expect a beatdown in Columbus.

Yep, during the MSU game yesterday, one of the two (Mushbooger or Vitalis, can't remember which) said that Wisconsin kid's shooting display the last 12 minutes of the game was the best they've seen in a long time. So, fuck Bo Ryan...Wisconsin was geting curb-stomped on their own court until some dipshit has the shooting streak of his entire life to win by the huge margin of four points.

20+ points at home would not surprise me in the least...

wisconsin under bo ryan has one win (needing overtime against 5-seed fsu in '09) against a team better than a 9-seed.

as long as bo ryan is in madison, they will never be a program built for greatness. the overwhelming majority of great players simply don't want to be part of ryan's system, as it isn't at all attractive to players who want to showcase their talents. the badgers will always be good with their current head coach at the helm. "good" is their ceiling, though.

Bucky, the verbage is "opening weekend." This is not a gotcha as I don't know what his second round results are, but your answer was a partial one.

What did he have to say about the fans chanting "Diebler Swallows" when he shot FT(I think he drained every one of them)? Has the tOSU student body ever chanted anything like that?

are we seriously going to act like tOSU students have never chanted anything bad before? We have some bad apples also, we maybe have never been accused of spitting on a player after storming the court but i know we have done some terrible things also....i dont even want to repeat some of the stuff that was happening to Texas fans after leaving The Shoe in '05 at Lane Ave and Indianola

It's the same blowhard that starts the chant every game. He did it for Johnson when Purdue visited also. I personally don't approve/partake in the chant (not that it really matters).

If it is just one person who does this each time, maybe the next time he starts, you could counter with a chant directed at him of "You're an asshole".

Or in that setting would mass confusion and chaos reign supreme if you did that?

It matters...it matters because I can't believe any sum of college-educated people would consider that chant the least bit funny, original, or entertaining, let alone appropriate (and I'm glad you don't). Some of the shit people say at games is actually really funny, a tad less vulgar, and even the players have fun with it...witness Sullinger with the Minny sign and Reddick laughing his ass off at the "Reddick drinks his own pee" sign a few years ago. That's the kind of shit that's good. "Player X swallows" is just fucking useless and stupid. Besides, there are young kids at the game.

This is the biggest thing to me. They'll always be relegated to finding guys who develop into good system players.

Most coaches/programs will try and run something in the short term to offest a talent issue due to a short term issue with injuries/graduations/defections etc. Notre Dame running the "burn" offense this year for example.

Wisky has decided to build the entire program in such a way as to perpetually be offsetting a talent gap therefore making the talent gap a self fulfilling prophecy.

Buckguy said it perfectly, it guarantees a ceiling of "good".

My .02 on their hoops team; If they were allowed to play NCAA tourney games at home and shot 50+% from 3 then they are worthy of all the love they are getting right now but get them away from their den without 3's falling at a miracle pace and they are mediocre at best.

It would never work, but it would be funny. There are so many a-holes in the building that as soon as you start the "you are an asshole" chant, everybody would naturally assume that the chant was directed at them personally. Factor in the hard poop issues, and it would turn into a 15,000 a-hole-everybody-against-everybody donnybrook.
