Ahhh, it'll be so cute when young Messr. Stampini grows up. Like little Ralphie in A Christmas Story as he stumbles out of the bathroom with his Ovaltine decoder ring in hand.....a little wiser..........and a whole sh!tload more cynical.

Eh I'm not so sure about that. I've seen many interviews of urban and/or tressel (can't remember) of them saying that you need to be committed to the school over the coach since coaches don't always stay, but the university always will.

2 things are now certain;

1) If he stays recruiting takes a hit because there is no way to downplay the uncertainty two years running.

2) If he goes, given the Holley quotes, the cult's reaction is going to be epic.

Either way, we win.

And of course nobody in the cult even notices, much less questions, the sick irony, much less LOIC issues, of running an athletic department where the football coach can have his "bosses" fired. It just seems so right and natural.

And of course, as with everything, it all comes back to Beloved Dear Leader.

Marshall23 , I believe you have it exactly right.BOB knows Joyner and his cronies are corrupt to the core.I also believe part of this has to do with Joe .Coach O'Brien wants him honored ,realizes the unjust that was put upon him.Its certainly complicated but people like Coach and Pegula are wanting to right the ship and do the right thing.
