Big Ten Power Rankings

I did one as well. I had Michigan @ #2 but ONLY because it's power rankings for today, not the end of the season. Outside of Ohio State nobody in the Big Ten can flaunt their wins and compare to two wins over #4 teams.. That being said, I think we'll drop later on because we're still so young and have a good shot at ending up at 5th if we get a few breaks and win the games we're supposed to win.

I ranked Michigan #2 as well. I don't feel that "youth" is really a fair basis to push them down in the rankings. Being older doesn't automatically get you any extra points. Michigan and Ohio State have both proven they can pull out wins against teams with more experienced players & have the four best wins of all the teams in the Big Ten. I've said it before, but Laval Lucas-Perry should help make Michigan even more dangerous once he becomes eligible. Wolverine fans certainly could use something to cheer about this winter since they have no football games to distract them.

OK, now you're just trying to annoy me.

I would have ranked Wisconsin 4th instead of 3rd, but I figured you would weigh in w/ your opinion, so I wanted to balance things out.

Penn State over Wisconsin when the Nittany Lions just lost to Temple at home and previously lost to Rhode Island on a neutral floor? They're getting beaten up by mid level A-10 teams.

Meanwhile, UW led most of the way @ Marquette but got key players in minor foul trouble like Landry and Hughes, Bo Ryan got way too over-protective with them, and it cost the Badgers the game.

A ranking of 8th is neither justified by recent performance nor preseason projection.

I guess there's no minimum college basketball knowledge requirement though so you're entitled to your opinion, as ridiculous as it usually is.
