I saw that, but I also looked at how they lost. The 13 point loss to Purdue wasn't pretty but the Purdue team was finally healthy again. A 4 point loss against a good Minnesota team. A 4-point OT loss at Iowa. It's never easy to win on the road, and Iowa has played OSU, Penn State, and Minnesota very close in their games. Iowa could very easily be 5-2 instead of 2-5. It's still a bad loss for Wisky, but not a terrible loss. It's not like they lost to Indiana. (:slappy:) And a 7 point loss at Illinois. In their other homes games, Illinois beat Indiana by 31, Michigan by 15, and OSU by 18.

Wisconsin has beaten both Michigan and Penn State and I would favor them in a match-up against OSU. I don't think they are a bad team, just hit a tough part of their schedule and compounded it by losing a game they shouldn't have lost. I wouldn't be surprised to see them win 6 of their next 7 and be sitting at 9-5 here in a couple weeks.

I knew those fucking badgers would get it turned around eventually. Damn.

Bucky's going to stay tied up in the basement for awhile longer as punishment for Saturday's victory over OSU.

Well, it looks like the Fighting Illini it is everyone's new love because they now are at #2. I am not so sure about putting them over Purdue now that Hummel back has seemed to improved and he is seeing more significant minutes. I think when he is playing Purdue deserves the #2 ranking ball without him they probably should be below Illinois but ahead of us:osu:

The middle of the B10 has the season long flucuating while the ends are pretty much rigid but the truth is we have different teams that are surprising other teams , mainly PSU and NW.

Same game , different players.

UM fans have apparently convinced themselves (if you believe mgoblog) that if they split their final four regular season games: @Iowa, vs. Purdue, @UW and @Minny, they're a lock for the big dance. I just don't see it--they're currently 17-10 and 7-7 in the conference. I don't see 19-12 and 9-9 in the Big Ten getting them in, as I don't think the Big Ten gets enough national love for a .500 record to get you in.

That said, I think they'll lose vs. Purdue, @UW, and @Minny (not to mention I think @Iowa will be tough for them), so I don't think a 2-2 split over those four games is even in the cards, so maybe this is all a moot point.

Wisconsin has outplayed everybody in the Big Ten head to head this season except for Purdue, yet they might be on the verge of their 7th loss. They should only have 3 losses. They've led most of all but that many games, but they find a way to blow it at the end. Expecting something to go awry has been in their heads ever since the collapse against Minnesota. Now it appears they'll probably lose after leading MSU for about 35 minutes, and being up double digits at one point. Who can predict that shit? Wisconsin is just about as good as they've always been, but luck plays that big of a part, as does the psychology of your team that develops throughout a season.
