My guess is that they have a pre-existing contract with someone else. Once it expires they'll most likely switch over.
Realize this is two months late, but saw this thread bumped up today. This is correct though. Nebraska is a NeuLion school. Ohio State was as well until this past off season when they switched over to CBS. I'd expect as soon as Nebraska's NeuLion contract expires they will join the rest of the conference.

After the tOSU basketball game tonight, which is scheduled to finish at 11 pm ET, they will first show the Big Ten Icons piece on Woody Hayes, followed immediately by the Step Into my Office show on Luke Fickell.

Those using a DVR should record the BTN Football report afterwards as well, in the event that the hoops game delays both of the other shows.

Or just record 4 hours starting with the hoops game at 9 ET.

Or just stay up and watch 4 straight hours of BTN then run back to BP to talk about it, which is what real sports fans do. :tongue2:

Was Joe Paterno the only Big Ten coach to not tape a "Step into My Office" episode? I know he did a "Big Ten Icons", but don't recall another episode (so maybe his "Icons" episode covered it all).

Or maybe he was supposed to follow Coach Fickell and...everyone knows the rest.

I really hope the Basketball Men's Buckeyes have a great year, just for the fact it may "cheese" everyone off in the conference that the team is featured a lot on "The Journey".

I assumed their thinking was that the Icons piece was all they needed for JoePa. They're probably relieved that they had it finished before they had to figure out how to talk about his legacy now.

You know if you've been watching some of these things on Ohio State -- like tonight's Woody Hayes Icon -- it's really sad that Jim Tressel isn't on the special talking.

That's one aspect I'm personally missing (Tressel speaking about OSU stuff on BTN specials).

When they have like a Gene Smith talking about Woody Hayes or Jesse Owens instead of a Tressel talking, I kind of get mad (I don't know why).

Journey wise, JaJuan & E'twaun, Battle, Darius, MSU, and the Ohio State guys were the only interesting stories. The Wisconsin/Illinois/NW ones were dull (save for the Wisconsin guy who had a brother that served). I can't even think of any Iowa/Indiana/Minnesota pieces.

I guess any analyst (Gary Williams) is better than Tim Doyle, right?

Now the network should get to work on replacing Chris Martin for football. My brother doesn't like the void of "eye candy" after Charissa Thompson left for ESPN too.

It's still in the embryonic stages, if looking real long term, but it's at this point that BTN really misses having reporters on standby or live news reports in the mornings/afternoons/evenings.

BTN should be leading the national charge for Big Ten coaching announcements or any Big Ten news. It's not at this point, but maybe it will grow in the future (like 10 years from now).

Yeah. I have a hard time understanding why the BTN can't get a couple 'campus reporters' on-call from around the conference to cover breaking news such as coaching hiring/firing and student riots.

I'm sure every school has a room full of comm majors that would jump at the opportunity.
