thanks for the optimism, but I have TW in Sayre.....which gets it's feed from NY, so no BTN. my fiance has Comcast in Harrisburg, but only the basic cable package so only one BTN channel, which will show a really really really really really really shitty team playing Coastal Carolina.

I'm still hopefull. As of three minutes ago, the Comcast program guide (for my zip code) still says that they're going to show the Youngstown game.

What can be better than giving a bunch of State Penn fans their pitiful jollies for three hours this Saturday? Ticking off a bunch of starving Ohio State fans who have been praying that the comcast program lineup is correct (for once).

How thick do ya'll figure the broadcast cable coming out of Beaver Stadium to the BTN broadcast truck might be?

So DirecTV came out today and I have too many trees next door to get a good signal. I guess it's good TW signed a deal with the BTN. South must not be in the same place as I thought it was. I swear he was pointing southwest.

I called the call center in Lebanon, PA on Monday and he seemed to think we would get the OSU game. I tend to think they just put that there as a place holder and it will be changed before Saturday.

My only hope is that the BTN doesn't break things down by region....they put their showcase game on the main channel and everything else on the overflow channels. But I doubt that's the case.

Hmm, BTN not showing anymore. For the folks who have called TW in Cincinnati, has anyone said anything on HD?

Just this Suzy Creamcheese cheerleader voice about how excited they were to announce that, "as of today, we're providing all our Buckeye fans with the Big Ten Network, blah, blah, blah" Gee, we're all so giddy we almost soiled our cheerleader shorts.... and then "...beginning Wednesday," which has now become Saturday as soon as they figure out where to move 7 religious channels, 10 shopping networks, NASCAR, Deer Park city council and re runs of shows I didn't watch the first time around. It's a real test of faith that BTN will really show up in time to bring us Saturday's game.

How is it that I could call a friend across the country and ask them to set up a Slingbox with a BTN feed, and be watching it in a matter of moments, yet it takes one of the most powerful media corporations in the country nearly a week after reaching an agreement with the network to do virtually the same thing?

I am glad that we got rid of Comcast. Eventhough they now carry the BTN here in Maryland we would have to watch the PennState game. But we got Dish and it is the main game covered on the channel on Saturday. Even if it was not we would get an overflow channel. Comcast sucked for other reasons though that we dumpped them.
