The times for tOSU's games as the #1 seed are set. I bought my tickets today. Here's a PDF file of the bracket.

big10/tourney.pdf

Times here are Eastern. Local time in Chicago is 1 hour earlier.

Fri, March 9th - Noon on ESPN (playing the winner of Thursday's 8-vs-9 game)

assuming a win ...

Sat, March 10th - 1:40 p.m on CBS (playing the winner of Friday's 4-vs-5 game)

if they win again ...

Sun, March 11th - 3:30 p.m on CBS for the Tournament Championship game (ending just shortly before the NCAA tournament selection show)

Although both finished 8-8 in the conference, I believe that MSU has the #7 seed and TSUN the #8 seed.

So the Buckeyes should be playing the winner of Thursday's Minny-TSUN game next Friday.

We should know the seeds once IU and the fighting Amaechi's finish up tonight, right?

1 OSU
2 UW
3/4 IU/Illini (tbd)
5/6/7/8 MSU, UM, Purdue, Iowa(tbd)
9/10/11 Minny, Northwestern, Amaechi's (tbd)

Brackets are all set: link

1- OSU
2- Wisky
3-IU
4-Iowa
5-Purdue
6-Illinois
7-MSU
8-scUM
9-Minny
10-NU
11-PSU

Our road would be;
1) winner scUM vs Minny
2) winner Purdue vs Iowa
3) B10 Champ Game

Nothing real scary there. It would take a MAJOR letdown to fall short of the title game.

tOSU has a #1 seed locked up at this point. Kansas and UCLA probably do as well. Wiscy is battling for that last #1 against NC, Florida, and Texas A&M. Some also think Georgetown has a shot at a #1, but I don't think they do.

Maybe....

If Wisconsin wins the Big Ten they'll end up getting a #1 seed.

Now whether or not Ohio State would then get another #1 seed is unknown. I wonder, have you been listening/reading Seth Davis lately? He said something similar about Wisky/Ohio State earlier today. In short, he's full of shit. He's an ACC/SEC homer and always will be. He grudgingly gives UCLA the respect IT deserves (and rightly so) and is fully on the Florida bandwagon even after their stretch of looking absolutely horrible in the past couple weeks.

Don't listen to Seth, he had Dook as a 3 seed!

OSU has a 1 seed locked up. (and by the look of that bracket, a easy trip to the BTT championship game) If wisky also makes it to the finals, I have to think they would also get a #1 seed.

The answer to your question is: It is possible; but it is not automatic. Ohio State could still end up with a #1 seed, they both could get a #1 seed, or neither could ger a #1 seed.

The Big 10 tournament winner just gets the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. If Wisconsin won the tournament Ohio State would still get an "at large" bid. It is up to the NCAA selection committee to determine the seeds. The seeds are based on a lot of things, including: overall record, strength of schedule, quality wins, and RPI etc.

Here is an NCAA site that may help explain the selection/seeding process:
