Big Ten Championship Game

BWHAHAHA....

Looks like there's a TON of people trying to unload their tickets for this game. There's 9,400 tickets available. Starting from $13. Even fairly good seats are pretty cheap.

Looks like a lot of OSU-scUM ticket holders are desperate.

I understand this but in a perfect world, those people keep their tickets and just don't go. That way, the Badgers and Pedsters can play their "championship" game in front of a crowd indicative how much people really give a shit about that game. Answer: none.

They may have no choice but to keep them. Are there really nine thousand more people who want to sit through that game?

Sure.

Penn State has lots of fans but I don't think they can attend the game in Indy on house arrest.

Wiscy has lots of fans but I think the game is the same night as their Al Borland Christmas party.

What's wrong with a game like this? Would I rather the Buckeyes be in it - you bet. But these are two solid college teams - one beat the Bucks, one led through most of the game and both gave the Buckeye offense plenty of trouble - and it has the potential to be a better game than most of what is offered this weekend.

What needs to be changed is the ticket system. Allowing stub hub to grab all the best seats makes them happy - now they get to sell many of those tickets a second time. The conference should hold most of the tickets until the contenders are set, then let those two schools set up their own ticket plan.

There isn't anything wrong with the game itself. I just don't think anybody believes that the winner of this game is the best team in the conference. Wiscy? Nobody is buying that. Penn State? They got throttled by Michigan and lost to Pitt. Sure they beat Ohio State but as the playoff committee is showing, nobody truly believes that they are the better team. Hell, the winner might not make the playoff. So yeah, this game is a joke this year.

Whatever scenario that keeps TTUN out of the CFP is all I care about. Their whining coach and delusional, classless fan base do not deserve the honor of competing for a NC.

Whereas I'm more interested in seeing Penn State kicked to the curb.

I hate Michigan with a passion, but I respect them, and respect their (alumni and MI-born) fan base, arrogant though they may be.

I have nothing but contempt for the State College Pedophiles.
