I know just what you mean. Badger basketball reminds me of a dorky-looking roommate I had in college who got laid twice a week, as the rest of us looked on in a kind of dazed and confused state of bafflement.

Purdue has won 30 straight when scoring 70+ points.

edit- OK, gotta question ESPN on that actually. Quick run-through and I'm only counting 28 straight wins with 70 points.

82-69 Final.

E'twaun Moore with 31 points, 7-13 from 3pt land. 7 rebounds too. JaJaun Johnson with 19 and 10.

Purdue looks like they'll start out 4-0 in conference play. After beating scUM and Northwestern, they get PoSU and Iowa before going to the Barn in Minny. Painter's got them playing well despite some setbacks.

Gophers/Sparty play at 4 on BTN.

The Badgers could not make a 3 point shot in the second half which is very unusual. I think they were 0-12 before they made 2 three-pointers towards the end of the game. If they do not shoot well from the outside, they are not a very good team on the other hand Illinoisan looked like the second best team in the Big Ten.

Observations: Michigan vs. Wisconsin

1. Michigan, after a hot first half, returns to reality in the second half. Beilein magic works again! :lol:

2. If I were an NBA GM, Jon Leuer would be on my first-round wish list. This kid is essentially a 6-10 point guard (not surprising, since he played the one in HS before his big growth spurt). Love his game.

3. Badgers are the whitest team in America. No, seriously. Even their African-American players look all bleached out somehow. Strange phenomenon.

4. Bo Ryan and his 55-possessions-per-game will ruin college basketball unless something drastic is done.

5. Even with the soporific pace of the game, Gus Johnson makes it eminently watchable. Simply the best basketball announcer ever. Girls' hoop (WNBA) should pay Gus $40 million a year to be their announcer for all televised games; then maybe somebody would watch them. (How the hell did the Big Ten Network get him under contract? I'm sure glad they did.)
