Were you there when the PAC was kill?

Not sure how I feel about this, but the hegemony of the B1G/$EC seems unstoppable.
They are dead again or Alive depending on which sources both by Thamel this morning lol.

I'm just glad we didn't add another team with some variation of a Red/White color scheme, but I hope that we imposed conditions on Oregon's uniform choices.
Ye of little faith Stanford still has an outside chance of landing in the B1G one day

So Washington and Oregon are taking halfish shares in order to join the B1G, but Rutgers gets a full share? Maybe in the next tv deal they should work out revenue calculation where the bottom 5 schools get smaller shares and the top 5 get more. That might get some of the have nots to do what it takes to try to not to suck as much.

Oregon and Washington and on the Rutgers/Maryland plan. You're deseperate so we'll make some more money off you the next few years. While USC/UCLA had actual leverage

Not an expansion, but apparently Free Shoes is trying to get outside investors to help extricate itself from the ACC. Yeah, this will go well.
But why? If you're going private investors firm why not just allow them to pay you the difference and leave in 10 years vs trying to finance an out

Private equity isn't a piggy bank. "Equity" is literally in their title. You're going to sell off equity in a chunk of part of a public university so you can change foosball leagues? Tell us why the B1G would never touch you without telling...

OTOH, private equity is really good at gutting the assets of what they "invest" in and then casting off the empty carcass. So, this might get really entertaining a few years from now.
