Whatever their shortcomings, Cal & Stanford make infinitely more sense than FSU and Clemson. One thing for certain is that we're not being represented at that Presidents' meetings since we don't have a fucking President. Or does Les Wexner just send his wife to such things these days.

And we had better be making Stanford get rid of that band as a condition.
Or insist that the school takes responsibility for it. On the plus side, the marching Hoover Tower is the biggest dildo in college mascot history.

Do NOT want cal or stanford.. i respect the schools and the money.. but Culturally I dont really want to bring in schools with so much open disdain for "flyover states" and football culture. Afraid they could almost be a poison pill.

Give me UNC, MAYBE UVA, GT? If we have to go west just stick to adding states with oregon and washington

Outside of football doesn't Stanford win the all sports award almost every year?

Stanford would be a really good academic fit, they also bring shockingly a pretty large fan base and a major media market. Plus a good fuck you to the domers.

From what I could find Oregon has a top 10 fan base, but academically is a stretch. That would be my 2.

Have 1-8-8 scheduling. Tell Oregon and Stanford that they are now rivals and that they’re gonna like it as we shove money in their face and tell them it’s all right.

Sell it to the media partners as the big ten after dark one game a week. Try to move the 7:30 time slot up to 7:00 since 3:30 game is typically over by then. Then have another timeslot at 10:30, that’s 9:30 central. So 4 weeks of the year it’s all west coast and the other 7 have it as a west coast vs central time zone game. 13 straight hours of big ten football.

I like the SEC SEC SEC fans as they look at it from a southern pride and football POV while the B1G is trying to make moves that will not only shake up football, but almost all other sports and the obvious of what a university is supposed to be doing. I hate both, but it is happening and might as well grab schools that help the research part, too. Saying that, fuck Cal and Stanford.

BUT.......FUCK FSU AND CLEMSON MORE. Let them run begging the Big XII(CUSA) for an invite.

Damn it. This is what happens when the gym is closed during my normal time. Off to yell at clouds now.

I'm not in favor of Stanford and Cal. We already have Northwestern for football. We don't need two more Northwesterns. I have a hard time thinking either of them will be worth a full share, especially when its been bandied about that Cal and Stanford could potentially pull of Univ of Chicago... stop athletics and just focus on their academics if the PAC breaks up and they don't have a home conference

Oregon & Washington would be worth bringing in though, especially if we can bring them in at a partial share. The conference match-ups with those 2 schools would make a number of highly desirable prime time TV games every year for our 3 network partners that would make the B1G brand more valuable
