I'm guessing that the UC Regents won't block UCLA's move. There'll be some backdoor dealing, and I wouldn't be surprised if a portion of UCLA's swingin' past its knees, big dick playa money from the B1G has to go towards helping Berkeley's AD pay off its sizable debt.

As far as I gather they Legally can't block it. The bylaws say nothing about needing UC system regent approval. So they probably won't get even that. There will just be some tongue lashing from the politicians and then everyone will move on

Do you think that at some point California Berkeley might say fuck it and go Division III? And if so, would the BIG consider bringing them into the Big Ten Academic Alliance?

Beautiful campus, a beautiful setting for the 80 K-seat stadium, no fans to fill it except for their version of The Game and it sits right on the San Andreas fault line, so...

Seems fitting considering that the Chicago Pile-1 (first sustained / controlled nuclear fission) was built under the stands at Stagg Field at UoChicago.

If the immediate follow up questions did not include:
* What are the right reasons according to Kevin Warren? …and
* What factors would Kevin Warren consider in determining the right time?

…then everyone there needs to go back to Journalism 101

Apparently was in his big opening statement along with the other stuff about revenue sharing. But he talked about being bold and not stuck in bureaucracy. So that's a thing...
