I understand what you're saying. But my premise is that ND gets into the playoffs (& perpetually shits the bed) solely because of their name and NOT because of merit.

They get in because the other schools don't make them play by the rules everyone else is forced to play by - namely play a CCG.

They don't make financial sense, at least from an athletics point of view, and frankly it's not even close.

Another stadium with less than 50,000 seats. They might as well join the MAc for football.
