"Texas will announce its plans to join the Pac-10 after its regents meet next Tuesday, source confirm to Orangebloods.com."

Oh Chip...

Every time I read something that makes the case for Texas seem hopeless I remind myself - if you are going to bluff you have to SELL the bluff.

Why, maybe he could get some money out of it by pawning it on "Pawn Stars":

If this thing is real then it could be worth a lot of money, and I want it; but first i need to get a guy I know to come down to the shop and check it out
I would have guessed aTm, too, actually.
A&M wasn't trying to position itself as the "savior of the Big 12" though... that's why I thought Texas

edit: wrote that before the "too" was added... but yeah

Pretty clear reference to Texas (Pac 10, Big 10, SEC) it would seem.

I would have guessed aTm, too, actually.

I just took Osbourne's quote to mean implicate some of the schools calling on him, which, in theory, could have been any / all of them, save CO. The only two schools we know for sure talking to all three were aTm and UT... I just meant that it could have been either or both...

..and, yeah, snuck in that "too"

This is from last night, but I don't recall seing this blurb before:

bleacher.report

Both Texas and Texas A&M have stated that they received approval from the Texas state legislature to drop ties to Baylor and Texas Tech, essentially leaving them in the dust alongside Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, and Iowa State should the Pac-10 deal fall through.
