This is the guy that started a large firestorm about 2-3 weeks ago. Supposedly Delany went nuts when news made it to this poster and subsequently posted.

Just spoke with my friend at the Big Ten. The offer to Missouri is contingent upon Texas AND/OR ND joining. Will post more details as I hear.

------------

The Big Ten has no word on whether Texas & Texas A&M will accept the offer. Apparently the two schools are meeting to jointly determine their course.

Everyone in the office on pins & nails. The admin has no predetermined backup plan if this fails. We should know in the next week or so.

Thats the rumor floating around from woodward and bernstein.... the only one that caught flack was Baylor because of the religious affiliation

Regardless our deep throat is better than their deep throat:

I can't believe it took this long for the deep throat reference to be brought up.

To OSU_D/'s post... thats one thing that isn't really being mentioned... what are the chances that this is all a smoke screen and we end up with Nebraska, UT,A&M, ND and Missouri. that would be one heck of a conference, its a pipe dream but interesting to think about.

That's essentially what the NW boards are talking about with the guy that bust loose the info a couple weeks ago.

I posted it in the Mill.

I suppose I should have put it in the Mill... but we didn't get to 200+ pages without a lot of rumors here, too. And yes, I admit I took full part in it. This is crack in a bag to me.

And it may be a pipe dream... but the Texas and Aggy head's are meeting tomorrow w/o Sand Aggy (the Shaggy site is getting to me!). If this thing is 100% done to the Pac-10 then why meet and specifically w/o Sand Aggy? I am holding onto hope!

Perhaps somebody higher up the chain will think differently, but I think that rumors regarding expansion can be posted in this thread (outside of the mill) so long as it is freely available, linked and sources cited.

The only exception to that would be information that is being sourced by a BP poster, in which case it's probably best if it goes in the mill.
Not sure if posted, but Shlabach wrote a pretty fair synopsis...

What are the questions surrounding expansion? - ESPN

Forde, on the other hand, wrote his column from his knees in South Bend...

Notre Dame Fighting Irish, AD Jack Swarbrick ensnared in irrational time - ESPN
1. The Big 10 has had it with ND's independence.
2. The Big East has had it with ND's independence/dependence.
3. Name me one major conference that thinks it's swell that ND gets a special deal from the BCS.
4. No one but Mama likes the spoiled child and all those chickens are coming home to roost.

Choose your poison Swarbrick: full membership with the Big East and games in 35K Nippert Stadium share your bowl and TV money, or join the Big 10.

End game.

Missouri fans have finally come around to realizing they're the even(th) numbered team, whether we go to 14 or 16 ... what they're not going to be is a 13th team. Good summary, IMHO.

Missouri Tigers Athletics :: Mizzou College Sports :: TigerBoard.com :: That's what I have always thought all along...

Delaney said he wants "hr" additions and he wants a double check mate. This guy is playing this game at a totally different level and everyone is trying to decipher his moves. There is a massive amount of disinformation, false leaks, etc. out there.

But have no doubt about it, he wants UT. And how do you get UT?

By making UT think that its conference will (justifiably) end soon. Who is the only logical team that can join the B10 and by doing so (besides UT) end the B12. Nebraska. That's it. Everyone has said the league would continue if MU left. But not NU.

So the B10 invites NU. B12 is going to end and UT/A&M are looking for a home. Pac-10 looks decent, but wait, there is this insanely rich league up north that has a monster T.V. contract already in place. It doesn't need to be built from the ground up or renegotiated (like the P-10). It is already in place, which means immediate buckets of cash.

Tough choice for UT.

So maybe UT goes for the $$$, maybe it doesn't

But Delaney is playing a game of chess. That's the only way to understand it.

I'm through with the Big 10...JERKS

They never call. They are soooo cool. I HATE THEM. Jerks. What? They asked about me? WHEN? WHAT? What'd they say? TELL ME!!!! Oooooooo! JERKS. I don't care. REALLY. They said what? Who were they with? NEBRASKA? AHHHH. Are they a thing now? I don't believe you. They still have feelings for me? What's all that "we're a couple thing" I keep hearing about with Nebraska? Okay, fine. IF they call, I guess I'll take the call IF I'm not doing something else. IS THAT THE PHONE?!!!!

Here's the post from Purple Book Cat that caused a stir a month ago. He said the Big Ten was going after Neb-Tex-ND, which now looks like good info from back then.
