So Beebe wants to know who's on the plane when it takes off huh? Has he even found a pilot for his "plane" yet?

Bohn says CU, five other Big 12 schools likely to be invited to Pac-10 - Boulder Daily Camera

So the CU AD is saying the Pac-10 is about to take in half of the Big XII. I just can't believe that the Big Ten has been making all this noise about expanding yet the Pac-10 is ready to pull the trigger with nary a peep? Yeah sure.....

That said, Delaney needs to shit or get off the pot. Wrap this crap up and get it over with, and go big or go home. Pulling in Mizzou, Rutgers, Nebraska, Syracuse and Maryland isn't exactly going to excite the base.

Bohn Says Big 12 Best For Colorado

If Texas leaves the Big 12 Conference, it won't happen unless the conference crumbles first, Texas athletic director DeLoss Dodds said during the Big 12 spring meetings Wednesday.
He said that also goes for Colorado.
"We're not going to go first," Dodds said. "We can go places, but we're not. We're not ? unless somebody else leaves. We're not going to lead that train."
Texas, boasting the biggest athletic department budget in the country and one of the biggest football draws, is a huge piece to any realignment puzzle. There has been speculation the Big Ten will try to lure the Longhorns, then have other Big 12 members follow.
Dodds said he thinks the only way Colorado would leave the Big 12 is if other members bolt first.
"If the Big 12 lost members, I think Colorado would look strongly at the Pac-10," Dodds said. "I just don't see Colorado leaving the Big 12. I just think they're better off here."
So does CU athletic director Mike Bohn, who was noncommittal to any realignment question except his commitment to the Big 12.
"The best thing for Colorado is to be in the Big 12 Conference," Bohn said. "Colorado has been committed to the Big 12 Conference all along. Colorado was instrumental in helping form the Big 12 Conference."

Notre Dame, Big East talk swirls through minds of Pitt coaches

Having Notre Dame become a full member of the Big East and start playing football in it would make the league more appealing and help keep the Bowl Championship Series conference intact. The Big East has eight teams for football while Notre Dame is an independent in the sport. ?Football is obviously the driving force behind all this as we know,? Pitt Erie chapter vice president Jim Fiorenzo said. The Norwich (Conn.) Bulletin reported last month that Connecticut football coach Randy Edsall said that for the past two years, Big East football coaches have been asking the conference to give Notre Dame an ultimatum to join the league for football or get out entirely. ?At this point, you?ve got to fish or cut bait here because they don?t bring in any value for the other stuff,? Fiorenzo said. ?They don?t bring in any value for basketball. In my mind, they?re just middle of the road. At the end of the day, what else matters? Lacrosse. Baseball. Softball. Not really.? Wannstedt doesn?t see the Irish playing football in the Big East even though they?ve played Pitt, Syracuse (2008) and Connecticut (2009) in the past two years. ?Would we like to see them in our (football) conference, sure,? he said. ?But they?re going to be an independent. They?re not going to be in any conference. So I think it?s a moot point.?

I'm with you. Other than Nebraska, adding those schools would just dilute the B10 brand. I just don't see how going to 16 teams improves the Big 10 unless one of those 5 is Texas.

I absolutely agree. The Presidents and their mouthpiece Delaney need to stop being all discreet and 1950s about this shit. They are the biggest, baddest motherfuckers walking through the valley of the shadow of expansion and need to realize it. Walk into Austin, South Bend and Boston (BC) and throw that giant cock out onto the table and say, "want some, bitch!"

Wishlist

To throw something different out there. If the B10 was given any 5 schools which ones would you take (assume east coast and midwest only)?

Assuming that this list is only AAU schools (aside from ND), the ideal candidate would have great sports and a solid following/alumni base.

Here are the options.

School - President cup ranking

Virginia - 3
UNC - 4
Duke - 5
Nebraska - 14
ND - 17
Maryland - 18
Texas - 19
Georgia Tech - 48

My - nonrealisitic but it would be cool - wishlist would be Texas, ND, UNC, Maryland, Virginia.

The articles about the Pac-10 invite for 6 Big-12 schools is just speculative. How they expect the 10 conference schools to accept with a unanimous approval those 6 schools when it, so far, has yet to fully endorse Colorado is just absolute insanity.

Obviously, nobody thinks ahead of just writing speculation. It leads to fiery debates, and attention, like I am giving it now. Further, for Texas or Texas A&M to want to leave for the Pac-10, and less money than the Big Ten, as well as lose out on the CIC is just shenanigans. Shenanigans!!

Grumble..Grumble..

Unequal Revenue Sharing will Remain (ESPN -- Big XII Blog)

The conference will keep the same revenue sharing system that they have employed in years past, despite the fact that it's a sticking point with teams not named Texas or Oklahoma. More interesting stuff.

The last year revenue data was made public was 2007, and here's who earned how much, according to the Omaha World-Herald:

1. Texas: $10.2 million

2. Oklahoma: $9.8 million

3. Kansas: $9.24 million

4. Texas A&M: $9.22 million

5. Nebraska: $9.1 million

6. Missouri: $8.4 million

7. Texas Tech: $8.23 million

8. Kansas State: $8.21 million

9. Oklahoma State: $8.1 million

10. Colorado: $8.0 million

11. Iowa State: $7.4 million

12. Baylor: $7.1 million

How can any of the teams not named Texas or OU bitch about that deal?

The lowest team on the totem pole gets 30% less than Texas and brings exactly what to the table? Zilch. I'd love to be on the UT side of the table when some meat whistle from Iowa State tried to illustrate how they bring in enough revenue to deserve a smaller discount than 28%. I'd make Baldwins charachetr in Glengarry glen ross look like mother Teresa.

You fuckers make 70% or more of what the top producers take home and you contribute exactly dick. Your lucky you get any money you free loading bastards. Take your cash, count your blessings and have a cool refreshing cup of shut the fuck up.
