It would certainly be interesting.
This is clearly a case of Stoops wanting to win by as many as he can to impress whatever doubters may remain.
Just not right, in my opinion. He proved it already. Get the starters out and enjoy your Big12 Championship. Don't turn this into some bigger statement. It's not necessary at this point.
Oh well, Bradford hardly takes any hits as it is, so he'll be safe.

I don't think Tech has a first rounder at tackle. Technique wise, Loadholt is better than any Tech lineman. GM's also aren't keen on 5 foot splits, and lineman that have a severe focus on pass pro.
Graham Harrell was a 4 or 5 star though. Highest rated QB to ever commit to Tech. Probably a 3-4th round pick though.

Bob Stoops has heard a lot about his BCS failures? Really, Kirk? I haven't hear one person mention it on tv this season. Screw OU. I don't like Florida but I really hope they beat the crap out of the Sooners in the NC game.

I thought you were referring to this thread, didn't know you were talking about the tech offense thread...my bad.
Honestly, Tech hasn't had a RB of Batch's caliber, or a QB of Harrell's caliber since Leach has been there. The O-line was probably the best its ever been too. That lead to there success this year.
Oklahoma has as much talent defensively as any team in the country, outisde of USC, IMO. And in that game, Stoops did nothing special. He rushed his front 4 a majority of the game, brought a few blitzes, but he hit hard, mixed man and zone, and stopped the run.
I didn't think they could hold Tech under 35, but they also recruit as well as anyone in the country. Sometimes good fundamental football, with GREAT athletes is enough to dominate, and it was that night.
I definately think OU will put points on the board against UF. OU's O-line is amazing, especially with Loadholt and Duke Robinson. And I think UF's secondary will be on their heels a lot of the night. This isn't a SEC offense.
At the same time, it isn't a Big 12 defense.....but UF had an awful lot of trouble in the secondary in 2007. I guess it's a question of:
Did UF's secondary improve that much, or did UF's schedule benefit a weak secondary? I was really hoping FSU would have a chance to test it, but not many answers can be had when a tsunami rolls through.
Again, I think UF wins, but probably close. I don't think UF holds OU under 24-28 points.

WV has proven that it does take a great secondary to hold OU down, and also that to simply score in the 20s won't be enough for OU to win, or even to stay close.
