Big 10 Tournament Champs

Bucks off to a great start. Up 7-1 in the middle of the 4th inning.

Scored 2 in the first with a bunch of singles. Caravati hit a 3-run homer in the second. DeLucia's been solid on the mound.

11-1 Buckeyes in the bottom of the 4th. Jedidiah Stephen just doubled in a pair, he's 3 for 3 with 2 doubles today. Caravati's 12 for 19 so far in the tournament.

The team certainly has responded well. I'll bet that Meister didn't sleep very well last night, but the guys have sure bounced back.

Now 12-4 in the top of the 7th.

Rabin, Caravati, and Stephen are a combined 11 for 11 right now, with 10 runs scored and 7 RBI. Tough call for Player of the Game! 14-5 in the bottom of the 8th.

Buckeyes win 14-6. Congrats to the Big-10 Tournament champions, and here's hoping they can advance to the College World Series.

It's just an invitation to the NCAA tournament.

First we'll play in a double elimination Regional tourney with 3 other teams. If we win that, we'll then advance to a Super Regional against one team, best two of three series. If we win the Super Regional, we would then go to the College World Series in Omaha where we compete with 7 other teams in a double elimination format.

Nope...they are 1 of 64 teams advancing to a double elimination regional (16 in all, 6/3-6). The winners of each regional will play in Super Regionals (6/10-13) and the Final 8 teams go to the College World Series (6/17 -end).

Edit--Sears is quicker on the draw

Congrats on winning the Big Ten tourney. Automatic bid to the regionals. We'll find out where everyone goes today at 11:30 on Espin. Big year for me, two teams to root for in the regionals and our golf team is playing Wednesday at the NCAA championships. :biggrin:
