Look at this question some idiot posted on msnbc. Is this guy smoking crack or what? I would say the Big 12 is perennially the weakest conference, right along with the Big Least and the Pac 10....

dude... we're slow.. do you know how few florida kids play on big 10 teams? you saw what vince young did to scum last year. that was like the bestest defense in the big 10 last year evar!

i think you are getting a little too upset over a statement made by an idiot.

People can't even figure out whether Team A is better than Team B (hence all the tall buildings in Vegas), yet everyone speaks with authority on whether Teams A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, and L are collectively better than teams M, N, O, P, Q R, S T, U, V, W, and X.

Stewart Mandel sums up ACC nicely... when he talks about Va Tech in his power rankings.

"How are you supposed to judge these ACC teams? Tech went out and spanked Virginia (52-14), which a week earlier beat Georgia Tech, which the Hokies previously beat 51-7 and Georgia Tech beat Miami on Saturday. Pretty impressive, right? But wait, that same Miami team destroyed the Hokies. Help!!!"

obviously the poster hasn't followed the big 12 north for the past few years. i think the SEC gets love because of how it performs in bowl games. imho, it should win most bowl games - it usually has home field advantage.

then again, can't imagine why they wouldn't want to have bowl games in big 10 country!! :tongue2: motor city bowl excluded of course.
