Big fan of Grinders Italian subs myself.

Not a fan of Penn Station. My wife raved about the place but when I went there, there was so much oil running off of the thing, it fell apart and I had to eat it with a fork.

5. Chicken Parm - Hoagie Haven, Princeton, NJ
I know it's weird, but at Jon Stewart's favorite sandwich shop, they serve chicken parm sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, onions, hot peppers, salt, pepper, oregano. Sounds bizarre, I know, but this place is busy around the clock for a reason.

It's nearly impossible to go wrong at the Haven, but the Bacon Cheesesteak was my personal favorite - there's also the "Heart Stopper" which might not even be on the menu officially ...

Have you ever been to the New York Deli on Rte 1? Pretty good sandwiches there too.

Corned beef on Rye - Carnegie Deli NY,NY

GREAT Pastrami too. I love Carnegie, even if it is touristy. 2nd Ave Deli was my favorite

They added the Heart Stopper to the menu a few years ago, along with a sandwich called the Dirty Sanchez.

Was New York Deli by Mercer Mall? I think it closed a few years back and was replaced by a Denny's.

Philly's Best in Licoln Park (a few other locations in the city) makes a damn good cheese steak. They get the ingredients from Philly, and is one of the best I've had.

Philly's Best

You are not wrong. As good as any that I've had in Philly. BTW, it's in Lakeview on Belmont not LP. 2800 (Diversey) is the dividing line.

Big Fan of Chicago's Italian Beef

In Cleveland, try Slymans, 32nd and St. Clair. I would put their CB up against anyone's, and the sandwiches are about 5 inches thick . If your not afraid of a heart attack, try their Special K, it's a Reuben without the sourcrout, again about 5 inches thick. Rachel Ray showed up there on a 40 Dollars A Day show.

Chicago Italian Beef is one of the best sandwhiches. As an aside with so many transplanted Chicagoans in CBus I have no idea why there's no chicago style pizza/dogs/sandwhich place in this town.

Milanos in dayton is my favorite sub place

if you haven't had it, try the chicken parm sandwich at portillo's down by the rock n roll mcdonalds. its not actually portillos, its the other restaurant inside the portillos (i think its called bordelos). that sandwich is amazing!

you mean barnellis....

I think some of the best sandwiches you can get are from Perrys Deli. Earnests Extacy is very good. Its big enough to last me the whole day.
