Rock, Flag, and Eagle
For those that weren't aware, people from the Northeast, specifically the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas, are a little obsessive about food. In particular, sandwiches hold a special place in our heart.
Most Ohio-native OSU alums unfortunate enough to have friends from the East Coast are aware that these insufferable people talk ad nauseam about the lack of good sandwiches in C-bus. I'm sure it gets old, but it's one of our passions.
Anyway, I was interested to hear peoples favorite and best store-bought sandwiches: where they're from, what's on them, and a picture if possible.
Here are mine:
1. Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak - The Original Steak & Hoagie, Plainsboro, NJ
This is THE buffalo chicken cheesesteak. Finely chopped chicken cutlets with buffalo sauce, bleu cheese, and crack-cocaine on a soft, freshly-baked long roll.

I know PJ's on campus attempts to do these, and while they're passable, the ingredients are subpar to say the least. Voted best sandwich in Maxim a few years ago, this is a long roll with chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, french fries, provolone, and marinara on it.
3. Hot Roast Beef - Vito's Deli, Hoboken, NJ
The birthplace of Frank Sinatra is known for its fresh mozzarella. If you're ever in the area, head to either Fiore's or Vito's and get a sandwich with fresh mozz. In the case of Vito's, make sure you get a spread too. I highly recommend this sandwich with hot roast beef, gravy, and fresh mozz on it. I toss a little sun dried tomato spread and go to town.

A little healthier choice. This gourmet deli serves up some of the best, most unique sandwiches and salads I've ever had. I believe the Stroller has turkey, pesto, roasted red peppers, and sprouts on a cheddar roll.
5. Chicken Parm - Hoagie Haven, Princeton, NJ
I know it's weird, but at Jon Stewart's favorite sandwich shop, they serve chicken parm sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, onions, hot peppers, salt, pepper, oregano. Sounds bizarre, I know, but this place is busy around the clock for a reason.
Other Columbus favorites:
Red White & Chicken from the now defunct Zuppa
Original Cheesesteak from Penn Station (Onions, no mushrooms, no mayo, American cheese instead of provolone, trust me)
Spicy Chicken Grinder from W.G. Grinders
Meatball Sub from Adriatico's
Fowl Shot from the now defunct Beekman's Bagels
