They all have a different level of "Holy Shit!" to them...

Holy Buckeye -for all of the reasons Mili captured.

The Catch - Down at (the significance of being on the road adds to it) scUM, and it catapulted Troy into his Heisman campaign.

Troy to Robo - "Hello Heisman!" and a "What the fuck? That just happened? That. Just. Happened!" moment.

TP to JB - TP made a great play escaping from pressure, tosses it up and JB went above everyone in the area to bring it down at a critical point. Then they drive down and score to go up by two scores. Who knows what happens if Oregon gets the ball back at that point. Tressel's first Rose Bowl.

Brax to Devin - My personal favorite. The young kids came through at a time when probably everyone in the country (including me, sadly) assumed Wisconsin had the game won. Brax had the presence of mind to stay behind the LOS while keeping his eyes downfield and Devin held the ball while the defender tries to jar it loose. And you can see the arrogance just oozing out of Bielema knowing his team just lost to a true frosh QB who "can't pass."

Whichever one you vote for, just know, there's NOTHING like Buckeye football.

All amazing, but there's no doubt here that it has to be Holy Buckeye. Not only for the catch itself and what it meant to the game, but because I'm pretty sure a variety of goings-on from that season have been officially certified as miraculous.

For most ridiculously athletic catch by a Buckeye I've seen, it's a shout out to a certain Santonio Holmes catch post-Columbus.

Love the poll, but one of my favorites is missing:

"Fouth down and forever" - Krenzel to Jenkens, 2003 Fiesta Bowl

A routine-looking play under incredible circumstances, and the biggest catch in the greatest college football game ever played.

Edit: Voted for Miller, because it happened at home against a favored opponent and led to the field being rushed. Might be one of the greatest plays ever at Ohio Stadium.

All of the following were game saving/clinching catches in the fourth quarter. Vote based on the importance of the play, or the beauty or difficulty of the catch, your choice.

Can you believe Tress / Bollman actually called a passing play in that situation?
That has to be the best because of the significance of it. Late in the season, undefeated, and obviously eventually going on to win the NC...

Toughest catch would be the Gonzo one, but the magnitude of Holy Buckeye is far greater. It was fourth and ballgame. In the other top catches there was at least time remaining to do something else if the play wasn't made.

I also always think of Brandon Schnittker's catch in 2002 against scUM as being one of the more underrated catches. It's a hell of a catch for a redshirt freshman to make, especially since it was intended for Jenkins, and it did start off the drive the gave us the lead.

holy buckeye is number one....but I will say this, Miller to Smith lifted a fan base after about ten of the worst months in Ohio State football history...I think we will look back at this and talk about how important and spectacular that play was...most importantly it feels really good to be a buckeye right now because of that play. I am just thinking back 4 short weeks ago watching the Michigan State game and wondering if this is some sort of bottom for play on the field and for scandle off of it...and Braxton threw some magic dust our way to remind us why it is great to be a buckeye.

This for me. I remember feeling that we were going to have our guts ripped out again, only this time in a national title game. Then the duo worked their magic again.

Went with The Catch for two reasons;

1) It was against UM
2) It's the most acrobatic catch of the available choices. Gonzo looked like he was playing Twister on that one.

I also have to say that Mike Lanese should have been in the voting. He made some circus catches that were absolutely incredible. Not too shabby for a Rhodes Scholar, eh?

:oh:
