Best Live Performances/Concerts (merged)

Pink Floyd at Cleveland Municipal Stadium in 1994

Clapton at The Coliseum

"Johnny Cougar" opening for Michael Stanley, Richfield Coliseum New Years Eve 1981. Locals chanting "MSB" during most of Cougars performance. Were too stupid to realize what it was that they were actually listening to.

AND, BoxCar Willie playing a local dive bar here in Panesville in 1980. Me and the buds guzzled 3.2 beer and had the time of our lifes. This guy was the most appreciative and gracious performer I ever saw.

I've seen Pearl Jam 14 times, but the best 3 I have seen were:
'96 - Savage Hall - Toledo
'03 - Gund Arena - Cleveland
'00 - Polaris - Columbus

Other than that.

'02 - The Who - Polaris
'99 - Primus - The Newport
'05 - NIN - Gund
'03 - Foo Fighters - Promowest.

Hookaville @ Buckeye Lake...F@#! Frontier ranch...
Although I loved Buckeye Lake for Hookahville, the old setup at the Ranch was the best. My first was Spring 1998 (tickets were only $20 for the entire weekend) and it was great. The main stage was next to where the Historical Bluegrass Stage is. I really don't like the current setup at Frontier Ranch. The last time I was there was Spring 2001.

I kinda lost interest in ekoostik Hookah after they booted Mullins. I've heard he may rejoin the band though. I think they're doing a reunion show in Jamaica this spring...
Sort of. Also, Mullins and Katz have been playing small gigs together since September. You can download some of those shows here.
From ekoostik.com :
  • Dave, Eric, Steve, Cliff and former bandmate John Mullins will play as Under Full Sail in Negril, Jamaica as part of the Jamm in Jamaica festival from March 25th to April 1st.
  • Dave, Eric, Steve, Cliff & friend(s) will play the Blossom Blast at Nelson's Ledges the last weekend in April.
  • Dave, Eric, Steve, Cliff & friend(s) will also play at Legend Valley on Memorial Day weekend.

A couple other posts reminded me of seeing Pearl Jam in '98. Incredible...and I don't think I've ever met anyone(even non-PJ fans) that have not been blown away by their shows. I still remember when they played "Black" acoustic and Eddie let the whole audience sing...
" I know someday you'll have a beautiful life, I know you'll be the sun in somebody elses sky, whyyy....whyyyyyy.....whyyyyyyyy can't it be miiiiiiiine!"
Spine tingling.
