I'm too young to remember the history of USC... if there was no ESPN hype I would not hate them very much.
I get sick of the ND bias, however I have a lot of respect for weis, the sportsmanship of their fans, and their tradition (while overrated at times, before the davieham era they were still near the top of CFB... unlike UM who clings to bowl appearances and one title in the last 50 years or so). They can be holier than thou at times, but they really are a pretty reasonable fanbase. I grew up 45 min from SB, so I knew tons of irish fans with plenty of spartan/wolverines mixed in. There was no comparison between the fanbases.
Least favorite teams/programs:
1. Michigan
2. Oklahoma - a brief stint as 'the program' in between the Cryami and USC hype. They were horribly overrated both years, and ruined both NC matchups. Instead we had a screwy split title, and left an outstanding Auburn team watching an unworthy opponent lay an egg yet again.
3. Wisconsin - developing into somewhat of a bitter rival... blatant disrespect from their program over the last few years.
4. Florida State - I just love watching them lose...
5. Penn State - this is in reference to 2005... most years I do not feel this way, but between the fans, assaulting TBDBITL, the media love (mostly the butkus, tho I gained respect for Poz), and the egg OSU laid in happy valley... I will greatly enjoy their rebuilding process next year. However, I also will root for them to take down FSU.
Least favorite coaches:
1. Lloyd Carr - I want him to stay, but there is no coach I respect less
2. Phil Fulmer - He's pointed the finger at so many other programs while having enough filth in his own...
3. Bobby Bowden - notorious for not suspending players... Nicholson was far beyond any decision on Bobby's part. Anyone who walks by his own statue while still playing isn't going to be my kind of coach.
4. Barry Alvarez - the collapse at the end of the last two seasons was such a sweet, sinister pleasure to watch.
5. Pete Carroll - he is the opposite of Tressel in the way he carries himself, but it's hard to deny the success he has had... which did not exist before him. Weak pac-10 or not, he's accomplished a lot. My respect for his achievements kept him lower on this list.
Least favorite fanbases:
1. Penn State (the whiniest and least logical imo. constantly calling into OSU radio shows to add a useless anecdote about how OSU sucks and PSU roxors)
2. Michigan (clinging to the past, too good to go to a great bowl venue like the Alamo Bowl)
3. Wisconsin (had I experienced the horror stories first hand... or been around more of them where I live, they might be #1)
...
10. Cryami (they are not significant enough... or loyal enough... to be higher on this list)
