A Tommy Maddox led Steelers team can not win at Cincy. If Big Ben isn't the QB, then I like Cincinnati. If he is the QB, then I think it'll be very close. The Bengals defense thrives off of turnovers. If Pittsburgh is healthy, they won't turn the ball over. This is Cincinnati's first real test of the year. If they win this game...then the questions isn't "playoffs?" it's "how deep in the playoffs?"

Funny thing yesterday. After watching the Jackonsville game, I remembered why the Steelers went 6-10 the year before Ben was drafted. It's because of Maddox. My god is he awful. The sad part is, Cowher would never yank him, because of his loyalty problem. Reason number 25 why I dont like Cowher.

If Ben plays, Steelers by a touchdown. (Which he looked fine even yesterday, so I dont see him not playin). If he doesnt play for whatever reason, Bengals in a blowout.

As you all know, I'm a Bengals fan but if Big Ben and Ward are playing, I say it's a toss up.

The Bengals run defense needs BIG improvement.

They still do need improvement, I agree.

Though the notion stated earlier of one player topping 218 yards (which is the single game record recorded by John Fuqua in 1970 against Philly) is not remotely likely.

If Ben is back and close to 100% this becomes a much tougher game - clearly Maddox on the field tips the balance in favor of the Bengals.

Hell Maddox on the field would tip the balance in favor of a high school team

You wouldn't know looking at Tommy the headless tail gunner, this year and 2003, that he is actually one of the statistical leaders for the Steelers, based on his 2002 season.

One more word on the rush D - through 6 games the Bengals are averaging a shade over 117 yds PG given up on the ground, this is 11 yds less per game than last years total. Like I said before, they need to improve here, but they are moving in the right direction.

How many did they give up to the Titans? Answer - 118.

If anyone wants a good laugh you should check out the Steeler board. Not only should Maddox be cut, Cowher should be fired. I thought posters hoping for both Maddox and Cowher's untimely deaths was bad enough until several poster suggested they should both be tortured for several days before they are killed and sent to hell to burn for eternity, and that was just the women talking.

If the Bengals win Saturday I'd be pretty surprised if they don't win the AFC North title.
