BCS Title Game: ND + 9.5 vs Alabama (ov/un 41.5)

The longer this post game goes on the more it looks like Urban can't wait to get back to work in Columbus. One guy talks shit about the spread, then Fowler declares that there isn't anybody out there that can compete with Bama. Go get em URBAN.

As conflcted as I felt, a Notre Dame win would have been terrible for recruiting in the Midwest.

Here's hoping that Ohio State will end next year as it begins...with the nation's longest winning streak.

This forever takes the 41-14 monkey off of tOSU's back. At least we didn't loose 42-14.

Looking at it from the other end, coach Saban has thrown down the guantlet for coach Meyer next year. UFM has to win 43-14 to climb back on top.

Ugh, just an ugly game. I wasn't expecting to win, but I thought the defense would keep it close. I also thought that we faced a few better offenses this year than Bama, but by the scoreboard it wouldn't seem like it. I expected we wouldn't score more than 14-20, but if before the game you would have told me Bama would drop 42...I would have been surprised. Uncharacteristically poor tackling, not getting off blocks at the 2nd level, and bit on the play action a number of times. I thought I would be a lot more pissed off by the end of the game, but this team was never supposed to go undefeated this season. Tough to swallow now, but given how long it's been since the Irish had an opportunity to go to the big one, I would have taken the chance regardless of the opponent at the beginning of the season.

Anyway, thats all there is to say. I don't expect the Irish to go undefeated again next year, but I think Urban has a good shot and I'd be looking forward to the Buckeyes swapping spots with Notre Dame next season. If anyone would know how to gameplan against Saban, it would be Urban.

I don't know if Bama was the best team in the regular season the last 2 years but I do know that if you give Saban time to gameplan for an opponent he's one of the best.

It's easy to game plan when your on a different level then who your playing. :tongue2:
