Here's my personal poll:

1. OSU
2. Michigan State
3. Penn State
4. Illinois
5. Michigan

Hey, those are the only teams I give a rat's ass about now. Everyone else can go play checkers as far as I'm concerned.
How could you not rank Wisconsin? Man, you must really hate them! :tongue2:

Tellshow isn't updated yet, but tOSU should project as #1 in the BCS. USF should be #2, and they'll be #1 in most of the computer polls.

Of the teams that still have a decent shot at the BCS title game, here's how I'd rank them now:
01. tOSU
02. USF
03. B.C.
04. Arizona State (they've beaten Colorado, Oregon St. & Stanford)
05. LSU
06. Kansas
07. Oregon
08. Oklahoma
09. W. Virginia (only loss is at USF, and look where they are)
10. S. Carolina
11. Kentucky
12. Cal
13. USC

My projected BCS standings:

#1 LSU
#2 South Carolina
#3 Auburn
#4 Georgia
#5 Kentucky
#6 Tennessee
#7 Alabama
#8 Florida
#9 Vanderbilt
#10 Mississippi State
#11 Arkansas
#12 Mississippi

I'll say it right now... USF has no chance of playing in the National Champioship game. They don't belong there, they won't be there. West Virgina and Auburn are not good reasons. They will be exposed. It's like Rutgers last year... they will slip up between UC, Louisvile, at Rutgers and believe it or not at Pitt in the cold.

The BCS standings are calculated by taking the average of 3 numbers: The Harris poll %, the Coaches poll %, and the Computer polls %.

For tOSU, in Harris, 2845 out of 2850 (points if all Harris voters had tOSU #1) gives .9982.
For tOSU, in Coach, 1495 out of 1500 (points if all Coaches had Buckeyes #1) gives .9967.
For tOSU, the 6 computer polls have the high and low thrown out, the remaining 4 give an average of .8300 of maximum computer rankings.

Averaging those 3 numbers gives the final BCS number of .942.

FOX Sports on MSN - BCSFootball - BCS Football

Figuring out how the computer & is computed : bcsfootball.rankings

The 'prev' column is zero since these are the first BCS rankings of the year.

Man, wouldn't it be crazy to play USF for the championship??? Obviously my first priority would be to just make the game, but it would be crazy to play a team like the Bulls. Of course, the entire world would be pulling for the underdog in that one... which would make it even sweeter.

Dan Wetzel is a basketball writer! And likes to sensationalize sports writing.
Wonder how much he really knows about college football?
Most sports writers across the country rarely see many games. And end up regurgitating another writers thoughts.

We are #1 because we are tOSU and undefeated. If USF had any sort of successful history dating back to the 1890's, then perhaps they would be given the same respect.

I think ranking them #2 despite not being in the pre-season top-25 and only playing football for 10 years is a shit-load of respect...

You know, If South Florida had played Ohio State's schedule so far they'd still manage to talk about how great their road wins were and would nitpick on Ohio State. Some people just don't want any part of Ohio State after what happened in January. Some people are looking to build up anything from the South. Some people are looking to build up an underdog. Some still are just trying to create a story.

The way I see it, if analyst and media types are going out of their way to rip on the Buckeyes for stuff like this, then that means this is a pretty good season and there's plenty to be excited about. That's just the way it goes.

So what if USF was #1 and we were #2? If the Bucks win out, they will be in. No way around that little fact. So, who cares if we're in the game as the #1 team or the underdog?
