From the inside-back cover of the new book, "Then Tress Said to Troy...",: "includes an exclusive CD that contains rare audio play-by-play of the infamous November 24, 1973, game against Michigan. This is the greatest and most controversial Ohio State-Michigan game in their long and storied rivalry. Both teams came into the game undefeated, and the game ended in a 10-10 tie, but by a vote of the league coaches (the audio CD itself says Athletic Directors), Ohio State went to the Rose Bowl."

I don't think scUM has gotten over it since.

It was a vote of AD's, not coaches. 6-4 in favor of OSU, the reason given was that scUM's starting QB had broken his collarbone so OSU would be the better representative in the Rose Bowl. They were right as we smoked USC but the tie cost us a NC(fucking domers).

And no, Bo at least, never got over it.

Yeah, I don't get how the vast majority assumes that Michigan doesn't have a chance in hell against Florida. Michigan started of with those two losses to App State and Oregon (who nobody knew was awesome at the time), and most people just figured Michigan didn't have a ball team this year. Most don't realize how stacked the Michigan team is. They've got just as much talent as Florida. I have no idea why Michigan hasn't done what it's capable of doing this year, but it happens to teams all the time. But they have this whole post-season break to get their team chemistry back together. It's the last game for Carr after 27 years on the Michigan coaching staff (7 seasons as Defensive Coordinator and 12 seasons as HC). It's also the last time that Seniors like Henne, Hart, Long, Crable, etc will be wearing a Michigan jersey. I'll be surprised if Michigan doesn't at least make the game competitive. It's one of the games I am looking most forward to watching this bowl season.

You stated the reason yourself - see bolded text.
Most people don't see any reason for that to change in the bowl game, especially when this senior class is 0-3 in bowl games.

7 + 12 = 27

OK, the guy should have written "included in his 27 years on the scUM staff, 7 were as DC and 12 as HC." Does that make more sense?

Rather than getting bogged down in a number crunching paralysis by analysis debate, let me ask a couple of simple, straight forward questions.

#1 What is the Buckeyes record against the SEC in regular season competition since 1950?

#2 What is the Buckeyes record against SEC teams in bowl games?

I suppose you also discuss the viability of the Ford Motor Company by discussing the Edsel?

With all due respect, if you want to have that discussion, then a Domer board will welcome you with open arms.

They love confusing history with current events as well.

Or we could simply say Jim Tressell is undefeated against Les Miles.

Both options mean absolutely nothing coming into this game.

Well, 28 years at TSUN, with 15 as an assistant (8 of which were as DC, and 5 more as assistant head coach), and 13 as head coach would make even more sense. :wink2:

Why will we defeat the allied invasion and drive you back from the Anzio beach head? Well, the Roman Army conquered the known world for five centuries...

From AJC - Prior to SEC Championship Game
Knee (Auburn and likely aggravated some by playing on the same).

Back -spasms

Glenn Dorsey is an All-America defensive tackle for the LSU Tigers. He is also a 6-foot-2, 300-pound metaphor for their defensive fortunes this season.
Known for being fast despite his large size, Dorsey has walked with a limp ever since Auburn lineman Chaz Ramsey blindsided his knee with a cut block on October 20. A massive bruise in the small of his lower back has left Dorsey with spasms that produce shooting pains that would make a lesser man cry and make his body "not want to move."

so i don't really mean to intrude or anything;
however all i know is that this chop block on Glenn Dorsey has made me hate auburn even more.
last years auburn game was enough to fuel the fire,
but this definitely puts the cherry on top.

all i can say is,
i hate watching Dorsey go out and play despite his injury.
it's upsets me to see a man that used to be such a BEAST suffering.
and i hate to say it,
but LSU's defense has suffered along with him.

at least he has a little while to recover,
but no doubt he'll be playing in the CG game.
(fingers crossed)

I honestly can't see him not playing; if he can be on the mend for a month, and Miles was ok about having him in the SECGC -
it will take the hand of god to keep him out; unless of course he aggravates his injury any further.
