From the inside-back cover of the new book, "Then Tress Said to Troy...",: "includes an exclusive CD that contains rare audio play-by-play of the infamous November 24, 1973, game against Michigan. This is the greatest and most controversial Ohio State-Michigan game in their long and storied rivalry. Both teams came into the game undefeated, and the game ended in a 10-10 tie, but by a vote of the league coaches, Ohio State went to the Rose Bowl."

I don't think scUM has gotten over it since.

Also there was a year that the trustees wouldn't let Woody's team go to the Rose Bowl

They are still talking about you, aren't they? The thing with that is the teams that truly aren't being respected are the teams who don't even get talked about.

Which is the point I always come back to with my friends. If we didn't win games, we would be irrelevant, and it wouldn't be as much fun to rip on the Buckeyes anymore. I've felt that way all along. I kinda like the no respect angle myself. Being in the spotlight means that you matter. Which is what you are referring to here. Which plays right into their entire objective:

I honestly believe that if tOSU didn't have the passionate following that we do, then ESPiN wouldn't hammer home their obnoxious point of view. It makes them a lot of money, to get the kind of attention they get from Buckeyes fans/alumni, of which there are many of, all over the world. Those fuckers know that if they press the right buttons, they get so much reaction and attention it's not even funny, but the catch is, they don't care if it is positive or negative attention, they just care that they get it. And they sure do!

They know that there is no other team's fans in the land that will react one way or another moreso than the fans of our beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. Win or lose over LSU, it's not gonna end anytime soon, because they will find ways to get tOSU fans to watch. That's the whole enchilada.

Gave up 14 points.
Mike didn't really coach the D in that game. The feller they have now did. Stoops was there as a "consultant"

Mike was on Okla's sideline. He waited around without a headset on all first half then when things started seeming bleak he grabbed a headset and started coaching. And the Okla team gave up 21 when they had been pretty good up until those last 2 games when Mike had been talking to Arizona. They gave up 35 in the Champ game and 21 against LSU when the average margin for victory was 35 pts up until those two games. Alot of garbage tds against some teams when their offense had scored enough to win.

You make a good point. The whole argument that Colin Cowherd makes for the crap he spews about Ohio State is that it's a program that wins all the time and that it's relevant. he says if OSU football wasn't relevant he wouldn't be talking about it.

Well,l it would be nice to hear something positive about the program come out of his mouth once in a great while but I guess that's asking too much of him.

Marcus Spears returned an INT for a TD in that game, so our offense only put up 14.

That game would have been a blow out if not for Saban's dumbass decisions not to keep running the ball and weird punt formation because our deep snapper was suspended for the game. That 2003 LSU defense was simply the most dominate I have ever seen at the college level....
