well, keep in mind that until the mid 70's, it was rose bowl or bust

'75 to be exact.

Prior to 1970 OSU had only played in 3 Bowl games(all Rose of course) period. Ironically enough we made them all count winning a NC in each(54,57,68).


EDIT it was '75 not '73.

lets just say this, you don't go 33-6, win an SEC championship, and blow out your bowl opponents all with dumb luck

With this and an explosion starting let's just do this and have the mods drop in the remnants:

The two coaches since the Alamo Bowl:

Tressel:
2005 - 2 losses (#3 PSU, NC Winner-TEX), Big Win against ND in Fiesta
2006- 1 loss.... we all know(NC Appearance)
2007- 1 loss to this point on some questionable game circumstances(Illinois, LSU fans should look for the video showing the Illinois fumble and pick play by Illinois which changed the game)NC appearance

all in all: 4 losses and 2 NC appearances, 1-1 in bcs bowls 2 of 4 losses to title winner, 1 by top 3 team, and 1 tbd 2 Big Ten Outright titles


Miles
2005- 2 losses (UR-Tenn,#10 UGA in SEC Title) beat U of Miami
2006- 2 losses (#9 Auburn, Florida-NC Winner) win against the same ND team(pretty much)
2007- 2 losses (UK,ARK) NC appearance

all in all: 6 losses and 1 NC appearance, 1 for 1 in BCS bowls, 1 for 1 in Peach bowl (2-0 in bowls) 1 of 6 losses to title winner, 2 to top 10 teams, 1 to unranked team and 2 tbd 1 Sec Title
